Hi all - we’ve been working on debugging an error that some players have reported in recent days Reports that the workarounds (below) are working for many but not all hint at specific conditions on individual computers that are difficult to reproduce here at Zwift HQ.
This is the update thread for those who have had continued difficulty. To recap:
- Launching Zwift results in a blank screen with error codes 400 / 403 / 500 or others.
- Occurs on Windows 10 or macOS
1 - Purge cache and cookies from Internet Explorer / Safari
Why this works - the Zwift launcher app piggybacks onto the web browser that comes with your OS. For Windows, that’s IE. For Mac - that’s Safari. Purging Chrome / Firefox / Edge / or your preferred web browser will not fix this problem.
2. Check which version of Internet Explorer / Safari is installed
We’d like you to check for an outdated version. If it’s possible to update to a newer version of IE / Safari - this may help.
3. Uninstall Zwift & reinstall
Some players have reported that this resolved the issue. Note: a complete uninstall will wipe out your personal bests and any custom workouts. To preserve your PR’s and custom workouts, follow these steps on our Support Hub.
Also: manually download the latest executable files from zwift.com/dowlnloads. The download will have the latest version the Zwift launcher app as well as the latest game app.
If you resolve this issue - please let us know which step above worked for you.
If you do not resolve this issue - please let us know:
- Which OS
- Which version of IE / Safari browser is installed on your computer.
