Zwift Rides Not Syncing with Garmin Connect [December 2021]

I agree. GC is showing the connection to Zwift just fine but not the other way. I am just manually inputting activity into GC but shouldn’t have to.

We’re seeing reports that Amazon Web Services is having outages on one of their US East coast server clusters. While Zwift does not use that AWS node, Garmin and TrainingPeaks apparently do.

When services are restored, Zwift will work with our colleagues at both partners to sync your activities.

Hey @shooj : Massive thanks for keeping us up to date. Not an easy task im sure. My issue seems to be that rides completed in ZWIFT are uploading fine to Garmin Connect - but have stopped uploading to Strava. I haven’t changed any settings - activities have just stopped uploading to Strava.

Any help or update is always appreciated mate. Cheers.

I have also recently run into this issue this morning. I am also unable to download the .fit file and upload it manually (I get an error message on Garmin Connect).

Same issue on iPad not syncing with Garmin connect and when I download the .fit file to load manually the file is not recognized so the issue appears to be in that file

To check your fit file integrity, plug it into https://www.fitfileviewer.com/ and if you can see the data, then its fine. If you cant, you could probably repair it through fitfiletools.com

@shooj any update? This appears to still be happening? It is for me anyway. Appears I eventually get my activities to garmin but it’s not reliable

Same here, my latest activity from Jan 4 is not syncing through several apps - Garmin Connect, Strava and MyFitnesspal. Tried to reconnect but it didn’t work. Activity from Jan 3 synced through in couple minutes.

My activity from today also haven’t synced with Garmin Connect, Strava did fine. Activity number 984990447334080528

Our server engineer in charge of these things verified just now that the transfers to Garmin Connect is working normally. However, there are a substantial number of activities queued up to sync. It may take longer than usual as a result.

MyFitnesspal is not one of our third party partners, so there may be some confusion about how to sync. Please see our Support Hub for how to set up the connection on the zwift.com website or the Zwift Companion app.

If there is a particular connection that isn’t working - try disconnecting and reconnecting it. I felt your eyeroll there, but give that a try.

@shooj thanks for the update and I can confirm it has worked for me overnight. Will this keep happening? It seems to be happening more and more recently with Garmin only?

Unfortunately it is still not working properly, in fact some activities are synced to GC but others not. I try to reconnect few times but it didn’t work.
Every suggestions are appreciated!

Agreed, the upload to Garmin is still not working. The companion app will not allow me to connect with the Garmin site.

Can we have an update please…
