Zwift launcher stopped working since update (app is not launched - white blank window)

Windows 10 laptop. Everything fine until this morning 11/27/18.

No script errors after installing IE11. Everything seems to be working!

I am not having that problem… I just tried launching it to see.

I still have exactly the same problem described at the beginning but the recommended Internet Explorer 11 settings (Windows 7) didn’t solve the problem (after reboot).

Before enabling ActiveX and Scripting I tried many things like reinstalling Zwift, deactivating firewall and antivirus scanner and so on. Deactivating the IE also doesn’t make sense because the browser is the interface to change the mentioned settings in Windows.

So now I cannot use Zwift any more (after more than 12 Month usage) which is very disappointing and the trials already cost a lot of time. I have no idea what else I could try.

Have you checked that you are have the most recent version of IE browser available for Win 7?

Have you checked that the IE browser is working properly by itself (testing with other websites and Zwift.com)?

If both of above are good, I do not recommend keeping your browser like this, but just to see if it works, set the lowest possible security setting on the browser and try it. If that works, you can “trial and error” what security you can use and then duplicate these settings for trusted sites tab (for zwift.com) , and restore non-trusted to higher security.

Hi Benjamin,
I have Internet Explorer 11 and updated it + reboot. See attached file.

Then I created a new User. I logged in to zwift.com successfully.
In the Internet Explorer settings a reduced security to a minimum, see attachment.
Zwift doesn’t start.

Strange is:

  • Videos on youtube are black and cannot be played.
  • www.adobe.com cannot be opened in IE. I only see a blank white page.

What about the options under scripting? And in particular

  Enable active Scripting

   Enable java applet script

I still have the same problem after spending hours in front of my pc trying to solve the problem. After speaking with zwift, they say that my pc does not meet the minimun requirements…and recommend to use another device . Really?? This is frutating.

Hi Michael, I was originally reading your message through email and the entire .png was not being shown. Your German version of IE is different than mine, activate is 2nd choice, not first. I see that you still have some things not set to "aktivieren. I would try all enabled, just for the test.
If that doesn’t do it, then the fact that youtube is not working properly may be a clue of some other problem… Ben

Now I made sure to set all options are set ‘activated’ but still Zwift
doesn’t start.
Will try to find the reason for the Youtube videos but
possibly they didn’t work for a longer time. Usually I use Firefox.
It’s very strange that Zwift doesn’t work any more
because I neither made no changes to my system nor installed any programs.

I found that the application Duet created a conflict with the graphics. Removing Duet resolved the issue.

ActiveX and Javascript activated… IE11 updated, cache cleared, Zwift installed, unninstalled, installed, unninstalled… reboot, reboot and reboot again… deleted instalation folders, instlaling zwift on different places, trying with another operating system user account (new user with clear configs)… ran out of ideas…done all of the above, with no luck.

Sent One email 2 days ago to zwift, but still don’t have any answer on that. I’m using my mobike phone for now, but since zwift App doesn’t support Ant+ can’t get my HRM to work, and I miss a regular size screen.

Windows 8 64bit, 4 Gb RAM, 28 gb of free space, Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver updated…

any clue on what could be te issue?

I have the same symptoms since the update. Zwift application is not lunching on Windows 10. I’m using since then mobile app and waiting for some update from Zwift. But it’s been now a long time and I see no progress… I’ve enabled all javascript options and ActiveX in IE, reset, reinstall, cleared cash, nothing seems to help.
Is Zwift busy with an update and solution for this?

Hello all, don’t know if this will help, but I had a crashing problem that zwift did not want to help with at all. I found that zwift launcher was running while I was zwifting along with zwift.exe. If I kill zwift launcher, after the program loads, it does not crash. No to proper solution I know, but it works.
