Zwift Companion Release: August 10th (3.17 iOS, Android)

Hey Zwifters, there is a new version of Zwift Companion heading to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in the next few hours.

Here’s what you’ll find in Zwift Companion version 3.17.

  • Added support for the Off the MAAP campaign.
  • France and Paris worlds are now available for use with your Meetups.
  • All Meetups now support Late Join. Players can join a Meetup up to 30 minutes after it has started.
  • Race Results are now available to Meetups, so you can race your friends and clubmates anytime you want. (Note: Turning on Race Results will disable Late Join for the Meetup.)
  • Additional fixes and minor enhancements.

[UPDATE]: For all those on Android that have been seeing crashes, we just released 3.17.1 for Android to resolve the crashing issue. It should appear in the Play store soon. Please update and let us know if you are still getting crashes/hangs on app launch.

France and Paris are not showing up in the create meetup page.

Edit, also can’t see the race results option, only keep everyone together and “none”.

Keeps crashing. :confused:

Immediately after seeing the main screen I get ‘Unfortunately, Companion has stopped’.

No Race Results option in Meetups. This doesn’t look like 3.17 apart from the version number.

I’m on android version 10 and no crashing issues.

France & Paris missing from meetups and no way to add results to meetups or is it on by default?

iOS 13.6, 3.17 version of Zwift Companion and I see neither France nor Paris in meetup selection. I also don’t see race results option.

Something has gone wrong here,.looks like 3.16 was released again by mistake but called 3.17. none of the changes listed have been made

France and Paris should appear in the meetup map selector later today. :ride_on:

Why release an update if the stated features/improvements aren’t yet available? And what about being able to view race results?

There is a second bit that needs to be flipped on the server side and that happens later today once more app stores have the update (the stores are regional).

I’m seeing Race Results as a meetup option on build 3.17 (1051) downloaded from the US iOS app store.

Force closed, cleared cache and app data. Logged back in, skipped the tour and it still crashes in the same way in the same spot. :frowning:

I am also on build 1051 v3.17.0 iOS US store (server v1.203.0) and don’t see race results option. Next time when you release an update like that and you know that the maps aren’t available (or whatever said feature is in the release notes) and it’s because a server update needs to roll can you please say that in the forum and/or release notes? Might save you guys some serious headaches (like this). Maybe it’s just me, but I like seeing the additional information like that and it helps clarify that it’s not that the update isn’t broken.
