This is the second time this week and it is persistent. First I thought it might be a simple glitch, when I rode the Breakthrough WO and there was no WO loaded for me. I saw it was loaded on 14 other participants, a guy from Japan was missing it, too. We were in a mode that was exactly like freeriding. No sign of a WO at all.
Today I tried to ride a group WO and I started twice but it didn’t load. My wife on the other screen had the WO loaded and could ride it.
I tryed to set up a workout group ride from the clubs bit on companion app
First time on Wednesday I though I had messed someone up by changing route but as it happend again today I’m assuming Zwift broke something
Not ideal but bit of a work around if you do a keep together meet up and then load up the work out it works, just you have to invite each person so need them on your friend list, only you can invite them and then everyone has to load the work out then selfs
Would be nice to have the group workouts fixed and working again
Exactly, and in addition. 90% of the riders were in workout mode. Only me, no matter how often I joined the ride it wouldn’t load the WO for me, while on the second computer my wife was perfectly fine in the WO.
This same issue has happened to me twice in the last week. I also thought it was a glitch and it would fix itself, but it happened again during a group workout. I’m able to do workouts on my own.
Photo below shows me in a Zwift Camp Group Ride with no workout or ERG…other riders were having the same issue
Hi all, I had the same issue twice since last saturday, no workout available when joining a group workout session. This happened on both my own PC and work PC, but working well on my Android phone.
I asked zwift support about this issue, but no effective response so far. Then I looked at the log files that are created each time Zwift is used, they are quite long but I found out where the workout is downloaded
I see you have a feather powerup in your screenshot. I noticed very recently some riders in the Zwift Camp group workout were able to get and use powerups which I’ve never seen before in a group workout, usually they are disabled for everyone. Today in the group workout some riders also didn’t have erg mode and weren’t getting the workout prompts so maybe related?
Thank you! It seems the issue is resolved on my side with this procedure
Another issue for me though. I do not know if this is normal but I cannot see anymore the content of the workouts with the different steps when I am on “Events”. It was quite useful to have an overview before entering in…
Glad to see it works on your side, I tested it a few minutes ago and I confirm it solves the issue. This has been introduced by the last major update I guess.
I’m very surprised no one at Zwift could solve this . Log files are large but they are quite easy to read as they are setup in text mode.
Thank you all for raising this issue. There have been sporadic reports of workout files not loading in group workouts in the past, but these recent reports are due to a file path issue. A sustainable fix is incoming in a future update, but you can follow either of these methods as a temporary workaround in order to get your group workouts loading correctly on your PC in the meantime:
Option 1 - manually create the necessary folders via File Explorer
open File Explorer
navigate to C:\Users\[your Windows username]\AppData\Local\Zwift
if needed, select View > Show hidden items
create a new folder named events
open the events folder
create a new folder named upload within the events folder
open the upload folder
create a new folder named workouts within the upload folder
Option 2 - manually create the necessary folders via Command Prompt:
On your same Windows user profile used for Zwift, open Command Prompt
paste mkdir AppData\Local\Zwift\events\upload\workouts into the window
press Enter
After completing the steps in either option, you should now be able to navigate to C:\Users\[your Windows username]\AppData\Local\Zwift\events\upload\workouts. Zwift group workout files should now be able to load properly when you join a group workouts event.
