I don’t believe we ever claimed this was user error, but I’m happy to tip my helmet to @Nicolas_Chauvel for sharing a workaround with the community!

Heads up, though: The issue seems to be with the direction of the slashes when creating the folder. “…AppData\Local\Zwift\events\upload\workouts” is fine, but “…AppData\Local/Zwift/events/upload/workouts” seems to confuse some PCs.

I and many other I know have had this issue for a long long time, I have personally had the problem for 4 years. Others have had it as far back as 2017. I only just found the solution because a twitch streamer for zwift was dealing with it as well. This may be something you guys may want to address on a larger scale to make sure your user base is able to have functional event workouts without requiring a forum search and manual folder creation to resolve the issue.

This issue was resolved in Zwift Game version 1.112.0 and the workaround described in this thread is no longer necessary.

If you continue to have any issues joining group workout events on Windows after updating to Zwift Game version 1.112.0 or newer, please let us know.
