Zwift Launcher for Windows / macOS v 1.1.16 [March 2026]

Hi everyone,

Zwift Launcher v 1.1.16 for macOS and Windows is available for download from zwift.com/downloads.

Windows

• Reduced incidence of blank or white window when launching Zwift.
• All Zwift files moving forward are written to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Zwift\ by default, instead of My Documents. Look for your FIT files and ZWO workout files in the new location.
• Includes a workaround for those impacted by Windows system freezes introduced by a Microsoft security patch. See this thread for details.
• Improved tracking of launcher app issues.

macOS

• Zwift Installer now runs natively on Apple Silicon, without requiring Rosetta for the installation process
• Fixed the “full storage” message so it appears if installing the game app while storage is full.
• Improved tracking of launcher app issues.

We will automatically update your Mac or PC to use version 1.1.16 in the near future. We’ll update this thread when that happens, but for now, you may manually download from the link above.

Coming from the camp of ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ – if we don’t have any issues, do we need to install this?

The improved tracking of launcher app issues will help us tell if you in fact have issues you may not be aware of.

But do you “need” to install this right now? No, you do not.

Any chance you’re planning on moving the file location on Mac also? Pretty iCloud causes similar issues. I had to move my folder and symlink it to even get Zwift to start.

Yes, it’s something we want to do. No timeline yet, but hoping to solve some of the same issues with macOS.

This update includes Zwift Launcher version 1.1.16 as the minimum-required launcher version.

With Zwift and apparently all of its files being relocated to users>[pers]>appdata>local>zwift is it okay to delete the Zwift/install and files installed in documents (Windows11) ---- is that old install still necessary for functionality?

I just deleted the Zwift folder in My Documents on Windows 11 and Zwift launched fine into a couple of worlds.
