Zwift Launcher for Windows / macOS v 1.1.18 [August 2026]

Zwift Launcher version 1.1.18 for macOS and Windows is available for manual download on zwift.com/downloads.

At a future point, we will automatically update Zwift Launcher to v 1.1.18

macOS

  • Improved Local Network and Bluetooth permission handling when the macOS Launcher starts Zwift. Wi-Fi trainers and Companion devices connect more seamlessly on newer versions of macOS.
  • Fixed an issue where the macOS Launcher could display the “Later” option during a fresh install before Zwift was ready to launch.

Windows

  • Stability improvements

HI @shooj the link for Mac appears to be to a .bz2 file not the .dmg. Or is it me?

I have the same problem :smiling_face_with_tear:

We’ve had 1 other report of this, but have not been able to repro. What browser are you using to download the file?

Edit - I can repro on Safari now, we’re looking into it.

Had the same problem in Safari. Download in Chrome solved it.

This should now be solved @flocke224 @M_ickeyC - thanks for reporting!

Since update 119, Zwift freezes about every other time.
Forced restarts.
Should I try the new launcher?

The launcher should not impact your game performance. I will take a look to see what I can find from your logs, and what kind of issues you might be having.

Thanks.
I should rephrase that, it only freezes during startup ( not while I am riding).

I sent you a DM through the forums to help troubleshoot.

I noticed prompts for permissions on my MacMini M2.
But the actual Bluetooth connection to my KICKR SHIFT still took well over a minute. BT would not even show up in the “All” tab for a very long time.
Zwift has been slow to connect to any BT for a long time now, SHIFT or HRM.
