I don’t understand the issue. You can change your TD to 100% yourself.
A Zwiftpower logo by each racers’ name in the Companion app, to clearly show who is registered at zwiftpower.
Better still, a Zwiftpower account for everyone who races, because non-registered racers affect how races play out. Are they messing about with their weight and height between races in a very dubious manner, perhaps also changing their name?
The gradient graph.
I have no idea half the time if it’s going left to right or right to left.
The graph itself is too small to see anything other than a big climb.
Even if I’ve specified a route I’m riding, it will show the gradient for a different route until I make a turn at the junction.
It could be overlayed on the map view like a water mark, but this is of very little use.
- An overhaul of engineering management at Zwift starting with their management of Quality, and resolution of several internal process problems contributing to Zwift’s endemically substandard software quality, even (or especially) if that means finding new people to do the job.
- The ability to be in more than ten Clubs on Zwift Companion.
- The ability to block communications from community members at the session-level (in the interest of the social environment, this should reset for each new Zwift activity instance.)
- Improvement to the banding experience such that the SIM-mode resistance of a rider to “pull” is dependent on the route and independent of the effects of nearby riders.
- The ability for event organizers to turn off segments for rides that are intended to be purely social - remove the ability in those events to take sprint/KOM jerseys, etc.
- The ability to respond on events/activity comments by Followers within the same activity to them so that they see it.
- The ability to see more than 100 riders on the mini map even if you cannot see their chat.
- The ability to interact with Private Messages in the ZwiftApp and not having to use Companion.
- The ability to create custom routing for event organizers including for Meetups.
- The ability to better interact with the user interface, like to freeze rider lists to give Ride Ons in the ZwiftApp, to Ride On all Followers who are currently active on Zwift using Companion while participating in an event, the ability to find Followers in Companion without having to search the global list of Zwifters, the ability to join any route on any world at any time, the ability to always hide segment leaderboards, alignment of all numerical fonts so the text isn’t always bouncing left and right, alignment of distance data of Companion and ZwiftApp during events, alignment of in-game timers to full seconds, event routing always being uniform regardless of selected route for all participants during events (including late-joiners) and other necessary visual and performance tweaks that have been neglected.
10 changes I’d quite like (not really in any order)
-
Scrapping start pens and lead-ins, and making it so every ride and race starts on the road next to a start/finish arch. Doing this would make it easier for everyone to understand route distances, and for Zwift to create more reverse route badges.
-
Making it so streaks are only rewarded ON THE BIKE, rather than at the end of rides, so I only ever level up when pedalling.
-
Virtual Gears for the Wahoo Kickr Core (this would probably encourage me to get a Zwift Play).
-
Telling me the distance and/or evelation remaining to the top of the climb, whatever climb I’m on.
-
Making sure Zwift takes every opportunity to encourage me on the bike. PB on a sector: Well done! 2nd best time on a sector: Well done! 3rd best time: Well done!
-
Only displaying PBs/course records and gradient graphs for the route I’m on, rather than telling me I’m 01:30 into the World Champs lap when I’m only doing the Innsbruckring.
-
Make it so there are “reverse route” badges on more of the shorter Zwift routes. To avoid route choice overload, this could be limited so you only unlock the chance to do the reverse badges when you’ve completed all the forward routes in a world up to a certain distance (e.g. up to 20km, up to 40 km, up to 60km).
-
Making it so I can always have a chat window visible on the left-hand-side of the screen, except when PB boards come up (I find it easier to read chat on my screen than on Companion).
-
Making the gradient graph more useful.
-
Stopping threads like this going off-topic
Neutral start options for race organizers, maintained by eg. a 25km/h fence that runs for the first 2-3 kms of the event.
- Adjust baseline resistance (wheel speed/gearing compensation)
- More and adjustable race categories (narrower performance ranges)
- Realtime race cheater identification and exclusion (cheaters are still ruining races)
- Realistic Group Draft (make it an option - like Double Draft was previously)
- Organize my Garage (remove to storage closet, presets, favorites)
- End Workout button
- More visible Sprint and KOM starts (and add them to the mini-map)
- User customizable display
- No more rain
- More Challenges (Everest, California, Italy,…)
- Make red bikes RED (better color picker)
- Ban the Burrito
No more rain…… this!
One of the reasons I Zwift is the outside weather…… and then it is raining on Zwift. Especially London looks depressing when it’s raining
Old school!
Mind you, even in those days we still had lead-ins sometimes.
But so many folk want that realistic experience
yeah, it’s nice riding in the rain without getting soaked
Coming Zoon© Zwift Spray.
I’d see the reason for start pens if you saw everyone free-riding a world, even if you were racing (and maybe this was the case when they were first created) but when the only people you can see are those in your race or ride, they feel like a bit of a restriction/compromise we could do without.
Is it just me, or are the frequent ZwiftHQ events (zmonthly races; TTs; Crits; Hill Climbs) dominating the event schedule these days and often resulting in poor turnouts in community competitive events, so much so that there aren’t even five racers in a pen (resulting in no zwiftpower points being allocated)?
IMO an awful lot of events, including some of the ZwiftHQ ones, could do with putting all racers in one pen category, or at least combining two pen categories.

Cracking down on the bots and the folk with dubious high power.
More big French HC climbs to link up to ADZ, and not climb portal - real scenery. How about a village at the top of ADZ as well.
Rowing and a dedicated rowing machine, I’d try it.
+1 on number 1 & 2
+1 for being able to toggle banding off/on to allow riders to properly compete for sprints/climbs
I only have 2:
-
Track cycling along with the whole gamut of events and competitions that real life track cycling brings.
-
The ability to design intervals at particular distances when creating a workout.
I’ll be economic and ask for only 1:
- option to show average power in workout mode.
(I know I can hack it, just think that being officially in the “game” would be better)
• Bike-Settings: Definition of some bike/rider self defined settings. E.g. setting for Uphill, Speed, TT, MTB, Gravel … chose the right bike/wheel and the right clothing in main menu before start of event – like in real world – I chose the right bike before riding and not while or afterwards
• Main screen event: Better and larger representation of the elevation profile e.g. alpe zwift shows it much more better
• Coffee Cup: No Coffee-Cup function while competition e.g. Tour de Zwift
• Pace partner: Display of the distance to the pace partner at a fixed location, e.g. at the top left under the Watt display etc. regardless of the keyboard display setting 1…9.0
• Pace partner: no different display of distances in meter (top and bottom)
• Map: No standard autozoom on the map display (top right e.g. Maruki Island). Setting options in the setup - 1. autozoom - On, 2. autozoom – Off
• Zwift (Hardware) extension: Open BLE interface of e.g. “Zwift Play" functionality
• Zwift (Hardware) extension: Open Zwift API to have access to data which is also available on Zwift screen – Rider/environment information like power, cadence, heartrate, distance, speed, elevation, elapsed time, … (e.g. open UDP network API interface)
• Keyboard: Keyboard support with Apple TV
