What are 3 changes/additions you hope for in 2026 and would be on your Christmas Wishlist to Santa. Am curious what everyone else thinks is important to them. And who knows, Zwift might save the propositions we make ….
For me :
1 - The option to turn off visuals that have mostly been put into the game this year. I am fine if others want to see it or like it, but I can pretty much do without ‘close the gap message ’, emoticons, ride on thumps, power up icons, electric socks, windflow socks, firesocks visuals, level up visuals.
So an option to turn them off and keep my screen as clear as possible is top of my list. I rather see the riders who are in front of me than have the screen cluttered with icons, emoticons and messages.
2 - I hope they finish the rework of the hud. Started summer 2024 but it feels like it has been put on hold. I would love an updated nearby players panel (with more options we now lack like cats in a chase race) and the map could use a little update as well. Just an overlay with the route doesnt quite do it for me.
It now looks like the left part of the screen is in 2025 and the right side of the screen has been stuck in 2020.
An extra optional block like the ones we got on the left side of the screen where the segment details are shown would be a very nice addition also. Its possible since Sauce has it. Just the name of the segment, the length of the segment and the distance to it. And when you cross the startbanner it changes to meters to go.
3 - Fanview needs to be changed a little bit so we can easily watch riders on every world they are on and not have to go through all kind of tricks to be able to see a friend race/ride if the world isnt on the schedule.
Those 3 updates/changes would make me such a happy Zwifter …
I would like to see better search for workouts in game and in the companion app.
Support for different types of races, like elimination and points races that show results in real-time.
Better patrolling of blatant cheating. Users drastically changing their height and weight, users who somehow weigh 80lbs but their profile pic on Strava of themselves is not someone that size, users who can hold 5+ w/kg for hours on end. I am not saying kick them off Zwift, but don’t show them on leader boards, KOMs, or allowed to join races.
Ditch ZRS, it’s a pile of garbage, that doesn’t give reasonable matches of ability in pens for so many reasons!
Limit racer height and weight changes per 24 hours after the last change (for everyone, not just zwiftpower registered riders) and how much they can be changed by each time. Height should not be changing by more than 1cm each time (really more like ~1cm per six months) and IMO weight should not be changing by more than 1Kg each time it’s changed!
Ditch the effective descent gradient being half of the virtual climbing gradient for races and TTs, make them equal!
1 - If I comment on someone’s activity. I should be notified if they respond, like any other messaging app.
2 - Fitness trends should use running data. If I run, indoors or outdoors, it should show.
3 - ZRS should get rid of rider decay. Whatever your racing score is, should be the same when you come back to Zwift. I would rather take a few races, to knock me down. If I lost fitness. But I really sucks, when people come back from a summer off of Zwift, blow up races for awhile. Until their score adjusts.
I thought the system did notify you of messages - are you talking about ZCA comments?
Do you have Activity Comments turned on in ZCA ?
AND are the people responding to your messages commenting on your activity or are they responding by adding a comment to their own activity. I think many people don’t realise they have to find one of your activities and reply there. You don’t get a notification if they respond on their own activity - but do you want/expect a notification if they do?
that I’m fast-forwarded to where my rider score puts me in the current levelling system, when or before they introduce the new levels Eric Min announced on the turkey ride
that Zwift release rowing so I can use my C2 erg/PM5 via Companion and row in Watopia
that Zwift add another mountain climb to Watopia, linking up with AdZ perhaps. The climb portal is great for variety, but a built out space is much preferable to ride in. I’d like something similar to AdZ in terms of ascent and distance; I think Ventoux suffers because it takes too long and isn’t in as popular a world
I’m with you on that, and clamping down on the exploits.
Other than that, I’d love to have real Col du Galibier, Col du Lautaret, Col de Sarenne and Col du Telegraphe in Watopia and the back ways to Alp d‘Huez added to ADZ. Those would make me very happy and allow some really epic rides.
It will give Zwift something none of the other virtual cycling platforms have. Sure Fulgaz has most of those climbs, but you cannot do them all in one single ride. Say I wanted to ride all the way from Valloire to ADZ - you’d be able to do that. None of the others would have that.
I’ve long been an advocate of more configuration. There are plenty of ways they could enable it, and things like visuals would be client-side and so I’d expect relatively easy to implement.
Yep! Riders’ nearby definitely needs modernising as you say. Again, that could be customisable so we can display the bits we’re interested in. We could choose to hide national flags and show primary club affiliation instead, for example (notwithstanding that Zwift doesn’t have a way to say “this is my primary club” yet; nor do they have club icons or tags, but those things could be added).
They can add a draft meter to the HUD for sure, and I’d love them to look at some of Sauce for Zwift and other ideas and give them to us. I’m on AppleTV so running Sauce isn’t an option.
Hehe, I don’t agree with that. It’s more than possible for fluctuations to be greater than that, particularly if someone hasn’t ridden on Zwift for a month, or even a week.
I hear they did remove it from someone who used an escalator and many u-turns to get it. I think that was manual intervention though, it really needs to be automated.
I think it’s ridiculous…. That if I comment on your ride, that you have to go find one of my activities to respond, to my comment.
I will quite often give comments of encouragement to fairly new riders. And they don’t realize that they have to hunt down, one of my activities to respond.(So that I am notified of their response) So I have to go back and find my comment, to see if they responded.
Example..If I’m looking at rides on ZCA..
If I see one of your rides, and I see there is a comment on it. So I go to your comments and it says… “thanks, it was a fun ride. Glad I could join”. I have absolutely no clue, what the comment means. It’s under a workout or something. Has nothing to do with the ride, it’s under
TakeStrava for example:You can have a two way conversation on there if you want (Strava always notifies me of a response)
Yeah this is a legit problem. It makes no sense that someone would have to go find your activity to reply. They may not even have access to the activity which would make replying impossible.
Would be nice to have a place to chat after the race anyway where everyone could go to one place to respond and not go to an individual race screen to comment.
Best would be a chat section below the results where everyone could easily read and/or comment.
Wind, universal speed and direction in a world, that changes on the hour.
More neutralised frame and wheel races/TTs, this “upgrades” feature has no place in racing.
Scrap the stupid “XP banking” system and put everyone at their correct level for the XP they have, including putting some sort of exponential levels in place for those already at 100.
the new 5 minute race cooldown kind of scratches this itch, you are still technically in the event for 5 minutes after you finish so you can chat on screen with other finishers.
On Zwift companion, go to routes. Find a route that has the Alpe on it. (Like fire and ice) Scroll down to segments. Click on the Alpe, boom. There are all your times up the Alpe.
It works for any segment. Last night I was looking for my best times up the Grade
