Unable to perform Spindown Calibration in Zwift

Based on your details, the fix I mentioned above, which is coming out next week should resolve this for you.

Hey Alan.
I’m having the same issue ans some others after updating to the latest firmware. Tried to do my routine spindown/ calibration as always and it’s coming up with a FAILED.
No other changes on my end except the update.
Unfortunately it’s preventing me from training accurately indoors. The extra watts are brutal on the longer workouts…lol

Are you able to calibrate in your trainer manufacturers app? That’s how you are always supposed to do it when possible.

I’d just like to add that i also have the same problem with ERG mode and Calibration. Is there a date for when this will be fixed at all?

Cheers

Nev

Look up a couple comments in this thread

Paul, thank you for the heads up. However, i did hence why i asked for a date to see when the release of an update would be. Then i can re-work my training programme to suit.

Hi,
I’m having the issues mentioned above.
Spin down failing and erg mode is not working on structured workouts.
I see there is a fix coming soon.
Thanks

@Neville_Breach @Seamus_Curran
We typically do phased roll outs for game releases from Tuesday through Thursday, so the update should become available for you and everyone else here at some point during that window next week.

Can you comment on whether the ERG mode issues people are experiencing will be fixed when the calibration bug fix is released? I’m seeing a lot of reports about ERG mode issues even after calibrating in the manufacturer’s app. Are these related?

If the ERG issues are stemming from an issue with the calibration either being in an odd state or not being correctly calibrated then the fix to the calibration coming next week may address these ERG issues as well. However if anyone is experiencing ERG issues, but doesn’t have any calibration issues then this is likely a different issue that the fix won’t address, and we should investigate and get more details from those cases in a separate thread.

Same issue here - not able to complete calibration with my Elite Suito

Hi, I’m experiencing the same issue. It has made it impossible to do any zwift rides this week… @AlanZHQ

Hello. I have the same issue. Cannot perform calibration - it jumps directly to step 4 - stop pedaling. I have Elite Suito as my trainer

Hi Alan, sorry do we have any news about this ?
I have the same problem since 3 days with my Elite Suito.
I thought the problem was my HT bu I see it’s not the case.
I cannot calibrate as it’s on step 4 automatically.
The power while driver is ok around 150-200 watts. But it’s too « easy » to spin Even with the higher difficulty. I can’t go more than 500-600 watts. Even if I spin a looooot.
I’m trying to calibrate every day but for the moment i can’t…

Thank you for your help
Regards

My Kickr V4 fails calibration in Zwift. I don’t use the zwift calibration but i’m failing to get any resistance out of my trainer in wift despite successful calibration in the Wahoo App. Wahoo app is recording rides fine. Is happening both on the Mac and Iphone latest release of Zwift. It wasn’t happening before Friday 11th before my game updated.

I am having similar issues.
Same calibration problem with Elite Suito (both in Elite and Zwift app).
ERG mode seems to work in some workouts, but in workouts where I have to ride at a certain cadans (rpm), there the power is not adapted accordingly.
f.e. new interval starts with 105 rpm at 150 Watts. When I go to 105rpm, I am doing way higher watts and the trainer doesn’t adapt.
Similar issue with other riders?
Thanks

Game Release 1.76.0 with the fix for the broken spindown calibration has started the first phase of rollout today, and will become more widely available over the next two days. It should be 100% available to all Zwifters by Thursday ~9AM (PDT).

Once you’ve received the update please let me know here if the issue has been resolved for you or not.

If you want to check which version of Zwift you are in, please navigate to Settings menu and About tab to see the Game Version number (example below):

Spindown is working fine now thanks but about almost 50% of time i launch Zwift there is no resistance. I open my wahoo app on my phone and then the resistance comes back. Some days it’s fine and other days i have to quit and reopen several times before the resistance engages. I should probably start a new thread as it’s a different issue from the OP.

I still have this issue with “timed out” during calibration with my Wahoo Kickr Snap. I just subscribed after one year break and can’t do this. It worked well for 3 years. My game version is also 1.76.0. There is also no software update for my trainer.

@Monika_Cyklopara could you please try calibrating your KICKR Snap through the Wahoo app and then let us know how your resistance feels while riding in Zwift?
