Hello Zwifters!
Phased rollout of game version 1.76.0 has begun on Windows / macOS / Android.
Phased rollout to iOS and tvOS begins tomorrow.
All Platforms
Zwifters have a new cycling badge to collect! The Richmond Loop Around route in Richmond is now available for all Zwifters and grants a badge upon completion.
For Zwifters using virtual shifting with the sequential gearing scheme, the default starting gear was changed from gear 12 to gear 8 to provide an easier starting point.
In Makuri Islands, support columns that were holding up a building above a portion of roadway were removed so Zwifters no longer collide with them. Donât worry, they werenât load bearing!
Fixed an issue that caused the spindown calibration within Zwift to fail.
Fixed an issue that could potentially cause the âFTP Change Detectedâ notification to appear when the new FTP matched the previous FTP.
Fixed an issue that could potentially cause a slight delay when using virtual shifting.

Do you have questions or issues to report? Let us know below!
Not sure I like the new default starting virtual gear. 12 for me is probably about right, and if it comes out of ERG mode during workouts to free ride sections (like in this yearâs Zwift Academy) starting in 8, you have to wait a few seconds (at least with my Kickr Core) for the resistance to ramp back up when selecting an appropriate gear. Would it be possible to allow a setting for user preference what virtual gear we would like to start out in instead?
Can you please give us the option to disable the climb elevation display? I appreciate the Garmin climb-pro-like display but on my Garmin I can turn it off.
Especially when Iâm doing a low-effort casual ride. I just donât need the display (or me vs. others comparison) and want to enjoy the scenery your graphics people have created.
Is there any way of doing a better solution for this? Perhaps an option of a dropdown or range in the setting, make the default 8 but allow people to chose there own if the want. I use virtual shifting and use gear 16 as my baseline, it was annoying having to go up to 16 from 12. Going from 8 to 16 is a bit stupid when something else could of been implemented.
Rather than starting us even lower on the sequential shifting default, can we not simply select our own default starting gear in the settings? 12 already felt far too low for a low, slow, grinding rider, like myself, who normally settles in at 18 on flats. 8 is going to be wild spinning while desperately shifting up to feel somewhat normal.
