Returning a ride on hasn’t work on the plays for a while now. At least in my experience
@Mike_Henry_R
When’s the last time you rebooted your router?
I see that your KICKR v6 is paired over Wahoo Direct Connect. When you experience flaky connections over WDC, resetting your local network (i.e. reboot everything: cable modem, router, PC, the KICKR, your smartphone running Zwift Companion) will almost always get all your paired devices working as expected.
Yeah I’ve done all that before. Hasn’t fixed it the issue. Connection is never flakey over dir con. It’s no big deal for me just thought I’d point out the issue. Not sure if others have noticed this either
Why would returning a ride-on with Play controllers depend on connectivity to the trainer? The Play controllers don’t use direct connect… I am sincerely puzzled
We can do some one-on-one support for this if you like. Please contact my Support colleagues if you decide it’s a big deal.
Yeah ok, it’s a little misleading on my part.
In Mike’s specific case I’m not seeing other telltale clues on the back end, (ex - all firmware is up to date). What I wanted is to make sure the PC is freshly rebooted, but with WDC involved, it wouldn’t hurt to also reboot the local network while we’re at it
I think the ride on return does still work but you don’t see the message in the Center anymore which is a shame
This has been broken, sort of, for a while now.
It used to display on screen to press Z to return a ride on when you receive one, but that stopped a while ago.
that’s why I think it has nothing to do with how the trainer is paired. I think it’s related to this thing @evan-zwift spoke about.
Same problem for months now. See https://forums.zwift.com/t/ride-on-reciprocate-quick-button-ng-in-zwift-ride/640748
Intel MBP MacOS Big Sur freshly rebooted, Kickr CORE via ANT+, Play controllers and app on current revs.
