New Garmin Synching issues

thank you Jules. Hope it will get back soon, it is quite frustrating :frowning: Thank you

Brett unfortunately there is no straight forward mechanism for go back to update the activities on platforms such as Strava etc. When you try to upload the data again they will tend to reject the new data as a duplicate. To correct the existing data would require manual intervention from the account holder.

Thanks,
how can the allready synced data be Update?

I would just manually download the activity(ies) that were faulty from Zwift, and manually upload to Garmin. Make sure all looks good and then delete the original faulty activities on Garmin.

Honestly I can’t be bothered to do the work, I’d rather ride my bike than do work to clean up someone else’s mess. Time and power are enough for me since the distance in Zwift is fiction anyway. Interestingly, while the numbers are wrong in Garmin Connect, they are correct in TrainingPeaks.

The activity summary sent to Garmin appears to be incorrect, while the activity detail remains accurate. You can force a recalculation of the metrics by using the “Trim Activity” function:

  1. Open the activity in Garmin Connect on the web.
  2. Select the cog icon (More) on the right.
  3. Choose “Trim Activity” from the drop-down menu (do not select “Edit”).
  4. In the time section, reduce the total time by one second.
  5. Click the blue save button in the upper right.

This will trigger a recalculation of certain metrics, including the distance. You’ll need to do this for all affected items.

As always, results may vary.

Great solution :muscle:t2:

Interesting but that didn’t fix the distance for me

How strange, it did for me but my test cases were limited.

Same thing here. Some power data but missing NP, IF and FTP setting.

AVG speed absent from all laps.

Charts missing all HR and Power zones.

All data present in Training Peaks.

Thanks will give it a go & see what happens.

Partially solved. Garmin intensity minutes not reflecting or uploaded? Please have a look.

For the November 2 update, intensity minutes for Garmin are still missing even though the raw data exists .

Hey Zwifters - 1.77.2 is now available for Apple TV. This release is now out for all platforms. Please update at your earliest convenience.

Hey @S_D15 - Are you only missing ‘Intensity Minutes’ in Garmin? This value is derived from Garmin (not Zwift), and is calculated for activities uploaded that used a Garmin device. You can find more info at Garmin’s Forum page here.

Yes now it’s only intensity minutes that are missing. Before the update (ant least up to 24 October 2024) all Zwift rides when uploaded to garmin included intensity minutes . See the attached.

That’s interesting as intensity minutes is the one thing for my Zwift rides on Garmin Connect that I’ve never gotten (just double checked going back over a year).

That is doubly interesting because I have always had them on my garmin connect until the Zwift update of a couple of weeks ago. And the last garmin connect update was 10/10/2024 and that didn’t change anything as far as my Zwift activities stats. I can only conclude that it’s the most recent Zwift updates that has upset things a bit for me. See the attached for an uploaded Zwift ride on 21 Feb 2024.

I have to start an activity on the watch while riding in Zwift, then instead of saving it I discard it after the ride is finished.

This way intensity minutes and training effect scores are updated, but it can take a couple minutes.

Same issue. 0 distance, no zone metrics, etc. showing after last update.
