Zwift ride not saving

The progressfit file shouldn’t be there after I stop riding and exit Zwift. Anyhow MAC seemed to be the issue.

I have a bit of an odd issue. Due to a disconnect (companion/zwift) Zwift is not saving my rides as activities. My mileage counter adds the kms ridden, the drops get added but I do not see a separate activity in Zwift anymore. The system delivers a perfect OK .fit file which I can upload manually. Have reinstalled companion, zwift multiple times and cleaned out all the caches where possible. Running Zwift on a MacBook and Companion on an iPad,

Reached out to Zwift support to no avail yet. I find it quite annoying that my rides do not show as separate activities… Any out there who can direct me to a solution?

I had the same issue for 5 rides, the activity not saved anywhere even on the PC installation activities folder but I fixed it this way:

I am using Windows 10 (X64) and found an installation folder of Zwift on a drive which is not the one being used. I tried to delete the folder but a file (log file) was marked as being in use.

By using task manager I found that Zwift application (X32) is running and I ended it.

After that I had an activity with Zwift which was saved on both Zwift and Strava.

Also have a bunch of lost rides. I lost one last month, and then since then have been recording on my Wahoo, but today decided not to use it, and realised it Zwift still isn’t recording.

Oddly:

  • Last in progress file is from 23/04/2020
  • I only have logs from Zwift launcher, not the Zwift app

Of special note, I moved to Windows fast ring on 15/04 so am on Windows 10 Version 2004, build 19041.264

Update, it was Controlled Folder Access, as per [Workaround] Zwift not saving rides/creating folders

I’m currently doing the “Build Me Up” plan, and this is the second time I’ve had the situation where a very short internet problem caused me to lose all activity.

Of course I have the .fit file, of course I can upload the activity to Strava afterwards.
But come on people I pay 15 € every month for what?
What kind of software is this, which gives up and quits itself at the first small connection error?

How about a “It seems like you don’t have internet right now, do you want to try again?” message?
It’s just such a pity that you have to do the single workout again, even though you just finished it with a lot of hard work. It’s really frustrating! :triumph:

Activity appears in the activity feed but the workout plan says “expired”. I even got to do that very early in the morning before going out for a ride with guys, just to have none of the rides missed on time. And now this. Any way to solve that? How can I contact zwift support?

I have just reported the same issue. I am doing the FTP Builder plan. What appears to be after the recent update (that includes the Tour de France routes) I have completed activities and they are all included, but in the plan they state that they are EXPIRED. There are now 3 activities that I have completed that state EXPIRED>. I am using OSX 10.16 Catalina. (and Game version 1.0.53029 and launcher version 1.0.23).

Looking at other issues about the same thing, what I was able to do was change my date back to before the issue started and I could completed the rides again. As I had already completed these, I changed them to completed, which marks them as being finished outdoors. At least now they show up as completed rather than expired.
