I had same issue with the Click persistently disconnecting. Here’s how I fixed mine, ( at least or the moment ). There’s 3 things I did. I don’t know which was the cure. I just used other people’s suggestions.
Battery terminal adjustment.
1: Between the battery and the back of the Click I put a 1 cm² piece of paper made up of 10 layers of 60 GSM A4 printer paper.
2: I adjusted the small lateral battery terminal so it made a more forceful contact with the battery. Not the centre terminal. You’ll have to look at your own one to see what directions you’ll have to adjust it in. I adjusted mine a sizeable amount.
3.: When screwing the back on I screwed in the screw closest to the terminal I adjusted until it was just snug. I screwed in the opposite screw similarly and
then the other two screws likewise and then finally fully tightened them all up. I wanted to keep the pressure even on the battery and terminals.
Phone reset
I did a hard reset of my Android phone and cleared the cache. I suppose I’ll have to do my tablet now as well.
Devices
I used one device one for the Zwift game. I used the rebooted phone. Companion wasn’t used.
My Polar H10 HRM connected automatically as usual. ( I think it used Ant+).
I had a big fan blasting at full speed 1 foot away from the phone. All that stuff about Bluetooth interference is balderdash.
I did a 1 hour ride on the Climb Portal. I changed gears plenty of times and there were long periods of times with no gear changes at all. For the first time ever my Click worked perfectly throughout the ride.
Hi @FernandaA - I have the same setup and issue as @jim_lynch.
I just got Wahoo Kickr Core Zwift One - FW v1. 5.36
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2020) (One UI 5.1.1)
Zwift App 1.78.0 (136462)
Zwift Click FW 1.1.0, HW A.0
Zwift Click battery - 93%.
I did follow all of the instructions you provided and I still have the disconnection problem. The click is literally 2 inches from the tablet. Both are mounted on the handlebars. No other Bluetooth device in the house have connection problem.
The Zwift app finds all devices including the click, but within less than 2 minutes it loses connection with the click. I can go to the menu/hardware and search and connect again while still in the game, but the connection drops shortly after. Once the connection is lost the LED on the click ether flashes blue or sometimes changes colors. Any suggestions? This is very disappointing considering this problem appears to be over an year old and how many people are reporting the same problem, but Zwift is still selling non functional devices.
Hello, I got an email notification because I was tagged in your post. FWIW, I went round the houses with Zwift support who ultimately washed their hands with the issue blaming the tablet (s6 lite) saying it could not handle the amount of connections needed to fulfil the functionality. I gave up in the end and now just use in fixed gear in ERG mode. Very disappointing.
Hi Jim - Thanks for the info. I had similar experience, but after I press the Zwift support for details they told me there’s a problem with the click 1.1.0 FW and they’ll send me new Zwift click but I should not update the FW and it should work. I still have not received the new click. I can let you know if it works once I try it.
Best,
Krassimir
I just got the new Zwift click and it appears to be working fine with the Samsung tablet. Visually the click is the same but the buttons are orange and blue not black. The FW is 1.0.0 and shows an update is available, but I didn’t update. I hope this helps if you decide you want to get a replacement.
Best,
Krassimir
Any plans to fix this? I have brand new Click, updated to the recent version and it disconnects during the ride. Tried both direct bluetooth and using Companion app. The worst part is that you cant reconnect during the ride. You need to finish the ride to reconnect. YOU CAN CLERALY see in all the comments that you are selling faulty hardware! The questions you ask are irrelevent.
Same problem for me from brand new - connects and works for about 7 minutes, then dies.
I am able to turn it off an on again a few times and get it to reconnect after a few minutes - very disruptive while trying to ride hard.
I’m running a gaming PC with Bluetooth 5.2 and two large antennas about 2m away - not sure why i’m having problem but gosh it’s disruptive to my rides.
