I understood that the Van Rysel D100 is compatible with the zwift cog&click (as they sell it together).
Unfortunately, the zwift version D100 was out of stock at that time. For that reason, I bought the standard non-zwift version of the D100 and the upgrade kit of zwift - separately.
My intention was that as they work together in a package, they will work together this way too… Life proved me wrong.
I can get into the Companion app and update the Click, but from then on I am not able to select it in Zwift as a controller.
There is no firmware update in the trainer’s app OnelapFit (current version is 0.100).
Do you have any experience with this setup?
Shall I turn to Decathlon to match the firmware of my device to the firmware of the zwift-version D100?
Or should I send the D100 and the upgrade kit back and wait for a zwift ready D100?
Or just buy a casette like in the old days and forget about this thing?
I just can’t believe that such a big project with hardware development, cooperation with Zwift and all the effort would be ruined by the ability to update the firmware version.
Yes it’s pretty sad that Decathlon have not released the firmware that they are already shipping with the “Zwift Ready” model. This is bad for their existing customers, who could use virtual shifting with Play controllers, or the Ride frame, or the Cog & Click kit, if they just had that firmware.
My 2023 d100 was working well with casset but I haved upgraded my bike, I choose to buy the Click And Cog.
Unfortunatly impossible to connect the Click …
This incompatibility isn’t mentionned from both side (Decathlon or Zwift)
I will return the trainer and the cog if no update come.
I contacted the Decathlon support team and they created a support ticket for me - still waiting for their feedback.
Lucky me, the D100 Zwift is in stock and on Black Friday sale now, so I immediately ordered that and will return my non-Zwift one and the upgrade kit.
Still, if I ever get a response from Decathlon, I will update this post with it.
Hi,
I was able to contact Decathlon about the product, more specifically the product Team in charge of the Van Rysel product D100, and they told me that an update will arrive during December to resolve the compatibility issue.
I was able to test my D100 Zwift edition - everything went smooth for the first try.
I also returned the non-zwift one. The lady was kind and she also promised that they will look into my support ticket.
One bad experience was that the 2 months free trial coupon seems to be expired or used already.
So how do I update my d100 this one lap app looks terrible , this has been terrible from unboxing to the instructions not being detailed and now I bought this cog and click and thinking I can use it similar to the swift edition . If I can’t use the click can anyone help me with some workouts I can do with just the cog ?
Personally I would just put a cassette on the trainer for now, but if you don’t want to do that, there are loads of workouts you could try. You might start by doing the Ramp Test, or Ramp Test Lite if you are a lightweight rider or relatively untrained. Then you could move on to the starter plan called Zwift 101 which is more of a tutorial.
My Van Rysel D100 got a firmware update today from version 0.100 to version 0.104. But I don’t know what changed. I can’t find anything about the update online.
Meanwhile, I got the response from Zwift with the correct promo code.
Unfortunately, I subscribed accidentally (it asked me to provide my payment details, then it pulled the 20USD automatically).
Now I cannot use the promo code as I got an active subscription.
Do you think that pausing the subscription would let me use the promo code (for 2 months), then I can re-activate my subscription?
