Zwift app Ant+ on e.g. S8

Same here  stuck an ANT+ dongle on my Huawei P30 Pro and installed the ANT+ services but don’t get ANT+ connectivity with Zwift for Android. Really disappointing…setup with the phone is so much quicker than a laptop but the BT connection is just terrible and doesn’t deliver enough resistance to go over 350 Watts in the flat…makes using Zwift pretty much impossible…

+1 If a device is ant+ capable, seems crazy not to have it enabled. Especially as Android devices (media sticks and tablets) will become more popular options for zwift.

Another vote for ant+, please add support for it!!

Android Zwift is useless to me without ant+ support.
I unsubscribed after the ridiculous price rise to 15 Usd/month, wanted to subscribe again but no ant+ on the android app… it’s just sad.

I also think it is sad but most of all it’s bad! I have a Galaxy and the graphic is just what I need, but sadly I can’t connect my heartrate and my powermeter, instead I have to use estimations.

ANT+ is superior but nowdays less and less are having a computer so I think it’s really crappy of you not having ANT+ support on mobile devices!

+1 for Android ANT+ compatibility, running Zwift on my Samsung Galaxy S8 and screen mirroring to a TV works best for me, but I lose my ANT+ heart rate monitor.

For those interested, I enquired Zwift support about this and got the following response (disappointingly no ETA on when it will be implemented):

Hi Ryan,

Thank you for reaching out to us at Zwift Support!

Even though your phone has ANT+ capabilities, Zwift currently does not support ANT+ on mobile devices. This has been highly requested in our forums and I’d highly suggest voting the feature up! The forums are a great place to get more community support for an idea and attention from the dev team. The more attention an idea gets, the more likely it’ll get implemented into Zwift. You may find many members have the same thoughts and ideas as you!

Personally, I’d love to see ANT+ supported for android, but I don’t have an ETA on when that may be. I’m sorry for the inconvenience this may cause you, I know it must be frustrating.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach back out.

Ride On!

I switched from my Laptop to the Tab S5E and the App works perfect. But without the ANT+ support my heart belt will not be supported. Would love to see this added!!!

Thanks

this is too bad the hole summer i have been keen too try Zwift this upcomming Winter just too find out that Zwift is poorly supported on Android devices
cant understand that marketing is saying that Zwift is Android compatible when
98% off all Android devices have ANT+ Radio this i why we android users use this OS doe too the possibilty too be flexible
so for me i must say i am deeply disapointed that this still is not approched and fixed.

Hi all,

I logged onto zwift tonight and it seems ANT+ is available on my android device. Nice one Zwift !!!

Any updates on how it works ?

It only support ANT+ HRM right now.

+1 for ANT+ for Android devices. It’s clearly long overdue and this forum thread is an indication that the people of Zwift are jonesin for it! Developers, please help us out.

HRM connecting via ANT+ is now available and I’m sure the ability to connect trainer using ANT+ will be coming soon.

Would nice to have an option in the Companion App to connect by ANT+ also and then broadcast to AppleTV(over bluetooth)

+1 Android Ant+ Support.

Just spent 200 on a garmin forerunner bluetooth watch to track my heart rate only to learn it doesn’t broadcast the heartrate over bluetooth and only over ant+. FUUUUU.

Might need to return it.

ANT+ heart rate works since the last update.

My Xperia Z5 (E6653) doesn’t work with ANT+, neither via internal radio nor via OTG cable (while PluginSampler works ok, I don’t know how to disable internal radio either way). Empty pairing window. Pitty.
