I too am having the same problem. Tacx Neo with Apple TV 4k. This started a couple of months ago and whilst the home screen shows ‘connected’ when the signal is lost, ‘no signal’ is displayed beneath and there is no power and my virtual man doesn’t move when I spin. I will say that I am now using TVOS beta, however this was doing the same when using the non-beta version of the software.
I also have the Tacx Flux S and ive been having drop outs since today and thanks to the dropouts i did not get my achievement while i did completed the course from France 60.8km Im afraid if i ride it again and get another drop out i will do the ride for nothing…=/
I noticed that i had a Zwift update today and since the update i have issues cause before everything worked like butter
Same issue here, only difference is I have a Tacx Neo2. The disconnections are intermittent, I can have it right after the flag off, or in the middle of a ride - several times throughout. This started some 1-1.5 months ago. Checked with a friend who is on a Neo2T and he has indicated similar issues.
Prior to this period, the trainer has been flawless, perhaps just that odd disconnection and resume once in a blue moon. 6600KMs on the trainer so far.
During the D/C, my HR is still connected to ANT+ as that’s the only metric that doesn’t go --------.
Can someone from Zwift please help investigate whether there is an issue with the last big recent update ?
I have tacx flow. Working fine until last zwift update. Now I have dropouts every 5-10 secs. Ridiculous! I am so frustrated. Zwift, what have u done?
I have a Tacx Vortex and having the same issues losing power mid ride at random but now the ERG doesnt want to work at all. When I first started using Zwift this was never a problem.
Initially it would just lose power at random mid ride but would reconnect if I paused and restarted. The past few attempted rides the ERG doesn’t activate at all when I start the workout and I can’t get anywhere near the target power. Even if I see the thing pop up that says ‘hold steady re-activating ERG’ it never activates.
Have tried uninstalling Zwift etc, everything is up to date from my end and the ERG works when I do a TACX workout - so the issue must be with Zwift. Highly frustrating and I’ve had to abandon using Zwift as I can’t fix it. Whats the issue???
I use a Tacx Flux Smart with iPad (all firmware/software is updated) and had the problems around March this year. Sometimes I couldn‘t even connect at the beginning and sometimes it dropped our druring the ride. What I noticed was that it was most of the time downhill while I didn‘t pedal. I wasn’t even able to reconnect after software restart and trainer unplugging. I contacted Garmin but they didn‘t really helped and told me that this is a Zwift issue.
During the past months everything worked fine. But yesterday I had another dropout during a workout (while pedalling). I could reconnect after unplugging the power cable of the trainer. This is really an annoying issue.
It’s good few months and Zwift don’t even acknowledge the issue. I’m cancelling my subscription and moving on. I would recommend the same to all of you. if we hit them at their pockets, maybe they will do something.
I checked Tacx app and I like it. Cheaper subscription and better fill. I’m gonna miss races, but since can’t race due to constant crushes whats the point.
I purchased tacx Flux 2 2 days back. Pune, India.
I have this same issue. I’m using windows 10 pro and connecting using Bluetooth. Zwift gets disconnected midway and doesn’t reconnect back. But at the same time if I connect Tacx Util app while Zwift is disconnected , Util app connects fine. So it’s not heating issue.
Can anyone help. !!
I’m cancelling my subscription.
Same problem between Flux and Zwift on Apple TV. Two races in a row.
Any feedback Zwift?
I have the same issue with my Tacx Flux 2 and Swift. It seems to drop out around 35mins on Macbook, iPad and iPhone. It’s quite frustrating when you’re just getting into a flow and your bike stops. It can also take a few minutes to establish a new connection. Seems like the bluetooth connection on the Tacx Flux 2 isn’t very robust. Did anyone manage to fix the issue completely?
I had it happen on the descent from Vent-top, i noticed that several other riders stopped in the exact same spot as me, are they all losing connection at the same point?
It would suggest it is a software bug (tells it to drop connection after x meters of freewheeling) rather than a hardware or bluetooth connection issue
I am in exactly the same situation, I rarely get a ride now where the Flux just stops outputting numbers and drops all resistance. The only way it seems to come back is through a full power reset of the turbo and then disconnecting and reconnecting the unit in the ride settings.
It always seems to happen about 45 mins + in, never straight away. I am concerned about doing any races or FTP tests at the moment in case it drops connection again.
This has only recently started happening and is getting extremely annoying!
Same here. Just buy brand new Tacx Flux S 1 week ago, and have same problema since first ride on Zwift. Losing connection for few seconds and then it came back. Also losing erg mode for few moments and than it enables again.
I just cant understand how can Zwift support doesnt say anything with so many people repporting the same issue.
That is usually interference from other devices. Can yo move your ANT+ dongle closer to the trainer.
Same problem for me. I use Sufferfest and the connection, power measurement and feedback is instant. I cannot make it work properly and consistently for Zwift. Half the time I open Zwift to start a ride it will not recognise the Tacx Flux 2 at all and I wait for up to 10 minutes before they work. In contrast, the Tacx app and the Sufferfest app work instantly.
I completely agree.
Makes no difference in this case. It is the only device within 10 m.
Thank you Gerrie butt I already tried it and the problem remains. It looks like Zwift problem. If it would be ant+ connection interferance it also would happen with other apps like tacx and sufferfest but it doesnt.
Put your Log.txt file in zwiftalizer.com and look at your ant connection see how many times it reconnect.
those other apps don’t need a clean signal, they can use a few second average while reconnecting. Zwift need all the data it can get because there are other users on the platform.
This is an almost 2 hour ride.
I completely solved my issues by going to ANT+. I bought the TACX ANT+ extended aerial and disable bluetooth on the PC. Problem solved with Zwift. Nothing wrong with the BT on my Flux or my PC - an obvious incompatibility between Zwift and TACX Flux over BT.
