Is this a scam?

For the folks who have not received this offer and have been above Level 85 for a long time: have you traveled out of country recently, do you use a VPN while Zwifting, or do you Zwift on a work-issued laptop that’s connected to a corporate IT network?

We are determining if you’re in the UK / EU / US very broadly by recent IP addresses your computer used to log in to Zwift. If any of the three scenarios apply to you - please continue to Zwift without the VPN or corporate proxy running from your home location.

As I noted upstream - also be sure you’ve opted in to Marketing emails from Zwift, and allow 2 weeks until another batch of offer emails is sent.

UPDATE: It is also important that you update your account address and contact details here as this involves a Zwift Shop “purchase.”

Not to sound like a broken record on this but when will this offer be available in Australia?? If not, what commensurate offer will The Australian / Rest of the world zwifters get ?? . You allow us to subscribe but ever since you launched the Play Controllers you have never given us a timeline for when it will be available? So we have to ride / race without steering with still no ETA on when a product will be available!

On my side I travel everyday between France and Switzerland. Only Zwifting in France, but connecting sometimes to https://my.zwift.com/ also from Switzerland.

So… has anybody made these things work well with Campagnolo shifters yet?

I have discovered why the steering is sometimes unresponsive - despite the length of the orange steering buttons, they simply do not work when pressed at the top of the button. It’s necessary to press rather more towards the centre of the button in order for the press to register.

Unfortunately, the fitment of the controllers to my bike forces the controllers to be tilted downwards and it is a bit of a stretch to reach the middle of the button. Now I know the problem and the solution it is something I can address, but IMHO the design is poor. If you press the button it should work. There is no earthly point having parts of the button that are unresponsive.

Probably someone that uses CAD could make some adapters.I have thought of making adapters so that plays sit closer just in front of the brake levers and so virtual shifting and steering buttons are in a better place. Also i have thought that probably they are working on Zwift Plays 2.0 if they are giving free 1.0

I hope to get the controllers soon but wanted to ask if anyone is using them with a flat handle bar?

I was going to wait till they arrived and see if I could rig it up.

I use a flat bar road bike with bar ends and a twist shift.

I read of some benefits from pairing the controllers and setting it to the side but the rear view option during races sounds too good not to try.

I know they make drop ends but I really just want a mounting option.
I’m happy with the flat bar and bar ends.

For non-races, mounting the Plays on my Voodoo Marasa’s flatbar was mostly useable, albeit the Plays were rotated 90 degrees.

Here’s a creative solution if you are into a bit of work

I will volunteer to be a Zwift Play mule, if a group wanted to collectively purchase a suitcase or two full of Plays and ship them to me and pay for round-trip airfare to Aus. :raised_hand:

Its not safe to travel alone, so I volunteer to come with you… so we going to need 2 round trip tickets

Good call. That would double the number of Play suitcases we could bring without a baggage up-charge too.

I levelled up yesterday.
Now, hoping to get Zwift Play controllers soon .
Will need to finagle them to my flatbars.

It’s getting close to end of in door season so I might not get to really use them until Nov.

Maybe ZHQ could send the Zwift Academy winners home with suitcases full of Play Controllers to give away.

UPDATE March 13
We are sending catch-up emails to Zwifters at level 85+, opted in to receive marketing emails within the past two weeks, and are in the EU / UK / US regions served by the Zwift Shop. Please allow ~48 hours for these emails to arrive in your inbox (maybe spam filter).

Moving forward - once you reach Level 85 (+ opted in + in those regions), you should expect to see an email within 48 hours for as long as this promotion is valid.

@shooj @MonicaP
Level 85 is @594.000 xp

I’m at level 79 with 759.151 xp, so way over the 594.k mark

I already invested in the zwiftplays, but they went broken because of the sweat-monster

Any chance I’m eligible for the discount-code?

Edit; 594k was in ‘19 it is 431k now….

They should replace your dead Play controllers!
