Game Update - April 29th, 2020

I just got in the Ceramicspeed Challenge, bought a new s-works MTB and rode 40 km in the jungle, but these kilometers were not added in the challenge recap. Do you have to participate in specific events for these to count ?

No. Something must have gone wrong. I just did a ride on the road bike and it counted.

The distance counts only in free rides or in their events.
Not in regular events, maybe not with workouts, meetups, etc.

I did the 40km on MTB in the jungle yesterday, after that 30km on the TT in the desert.

Good after the last update for ipad ios and the second one to solve the fixed version 1.0.49822. It still fails today in the Crycity 80km race midway through the 40km puuf race, Zwift went blue and had the wifi ok and the current network is ok, a failure, the program restarted and came back to tell me the kms and the time, but I could not finish the race, this last update will have to be resolved and better reviewed thanks to the Zwift team

Since the two updates is anyone having problems with the Zwift iOS app crashing whilst racing who uses the official Apple Lightning AV Adapter (HDMI from iPad / iPhone to TV Connector)?

Zwift has crashed during three consecutive races for me since the updates and I’m trying to work out where the problem lies. Was wondering if anyone else who uses the Apple Lightning AV Adapter is having the same problems. It only occurs during racing for me so would be good to know if it’s still working for other users. I use an iPad 5th Generation and it has worked perfectly with the Apple Lightning AV Adapter Cable up until the updates.

I have created a post here which I will update when I learn more.

This might be the problem. I did a workout during around 32 km and continued riding for 8 km.
I’ll try it without a workout.

This would be an amazing feature for say vEveresting. I hate the downhill on Road to Sky. It takes forever. I just want to keep going up

First off, great work keeping the platform interactive and fresh. Great value in the monthly membership. As it pertains to races and such, is there a way to actually report a person’s activity to help prevent cheating? If not it would be nice. I have seen too many times people with ungodly w/kg and HR under 100. It’s like they have a car tire on the trainer or something.

Fulll confession: I have been Zwifting for only a month and understand only that I understand relatively little of the ins and outs of the application. But, I am so happy to be a part of such an awesome community! Question: Using the Apple TV, does Zwift have any plans to allow a route one is following to appear in its ENTIRETY at the top right of the screen instead of a view of the immediate vicinity? For example, I have chosen to do the “New York City loop” on several occasions and would love to have seen my progress on the screen toward completing the loop. Maybe one color for the part of the loop I have already ridden, and another color for the part still to complete. In advance, apologies to everyone if this feature is already somehow accessible and I am just being annoyingly ignorant. Kind regards, Mr. Luigi

Wow…no update on the fence? This is beyond comical at this point - even if we assume this is the most complicated code to fix/rework, how is it taking this long?

Does your team have any understanding how much the lack of a fence causes grief in group rides, especially slower rides where there are many newer users?

Set up DAILY 30 minute update calls to talk about progress. Put a flagpole in the ground to have it fixed by a date. Hold people accountable for making progress towards that date.

Thanks

For sure they are in the upgrade notes in the App Store / I was more referring to matching to this detailed description described in the forums. I.e having the IOS version history detailed into the forum post as well.

In companion app you can flag a user all i know is there a button that lets you do this

Hi, first of all thanks for creating this awesome world.

Unfortunately, the improvement made for apple tv bluetooth connection actually made it worse. There is no option to use the 2 BT ports on the apple tv now if i click on the use companion app button. It forces me to route all connections through companion app (android Samsung S10+).

When connecting through the companion app, my minoura kagura loses resistance control. And other sensors hrm, cadence, drops out intermittently. I had to resort to switching off BT on my phone and live with the 2 ports on apple tv (sacrifice either hrm or cadence).

Please rollback this feature. Thanks!

Same here with minoura kagura smart trainer.

Go to Apple for complaining.
Apple TV can only 2 BT connections.
It’s not Zwifts fault.

A bit bummed today as today’s ride wasn’t saved at all, it wasn’t a big or really important ride as the ones of some fellow riders but as every km count it was a level up, drops and things.
The point is that this never never happened to me before the update and I was reading that you just loose those kms/hours/drops, etc’s which sucks.

Thanks for your reply, but you missed the point.

Hi guys it’s a Nice update. You’re all going a great job. I think you should try to incorporate a change of course without having to log out and in. Would be a smart little feature :slightly_smiling_face:

Please publish the version number in release notes. It’s sort of the single most important thing!

I have reported my fault in several ways but no one has got back to men. Sadly. I use iOS on iPad. Since the update my sensors are connected but the signal is not being received. NO SIGNAL is the message despite saying CONNECTED.
I’ve changed batteries on sensors. I’ve used sensors on a 36 mile ride on the open road with no problem yesterday
My account is up to date.
I have nothing else connected to sensors. Please can someone get back to me.
