Hi @Rowdy - I had the same experience as Ben unfortunately. I have created a short custom workout with a few short free-ride segments to test this. I tried re-pairing before starting the workout and re-pairing during the workout and neither seemed to fix the issue.
The companion app also didn’t connect when I tested yesterday. I don’t know if that’s a related issue or something else.
In case it’s helpful, my setup is:
Zwift v1.72.2 on Apple TV
Wattbike V1 (connected via native bluetooth)
Android phone for Zwift Companion
Wahoo Tickr heart monitor
Meant to say: pairing over native Bluetooth rather than via phone.
I hesitate to say this, but since the last update it seems to be fixed…
I have issues with ERG being stuck on with certain workouts that include free rides within them, im unable to change gears and end up being stuck in whatever gear i was in at the last ERG setting. (Wattbike Atom)
Is this new since the 1.76 update? Which OS are you running Zwift on?

I have a 1st gen Atom running zwift through a Galaxy S8 tab, ERG works fine on its own, gears run fine on their own. Put the two together on a workout then the gears are stuck on 6 and won’t change 
Any help with this would be amazing!

Hi Nick,
I’ve tried this hack but I’m still stuck in whatever gear I was in when in ERG mode when I try to change to free ride and it doesn’t let me change…very frustrating and has meant I don’t do workouts that have free ride sections now…sorry.
