Epic "Event" Fail...Haute Route not saved: **UPDATE: This server issue has been resolved.**

Was not able To see any activities in companion app. Checked the Zwift activities files on computer, found an “activityinprogress” fit file and deleted. Was finally able to see my past activities.

Just done the Haute Route.
When I finished the ride didn’t save as normal. The screen just went blurred and eventually Zwift crashed.
When I try and upload the .fit file it says the activity is still in progress. I can’t view the file in the Compannion App as it says the same. I’ve just tried doing 2 other rides and it does exactly the same. Crashes and the will not upload as the rides are still in progress.
Any ideas what I can do?

This has just happened to me, not happy, quick update, some how managed to find it in documents, and transfer to strava

Yes the exactly the same for me.

Same , only recorded 24 miles and think the companion app has broken.

“Epic” fail is a bit harsh when there has been an unprecedented spike in users. I’ve been using Zwift for several years now and while there are bumps in the road here and there, overall I have been extremely happy with the product. They will catch up as soon as they can… assuming their staff has not been impacted with the virus (and they cannot control the entire Internet getting slammed these days).

Now I’m somewhat glad I got the boot 1 minute into the ride. If I had completed it but couldn’t save it I’d be even more upset. HEY ZWIFT - it’s all fine and good if your servers can handle the load (can they, though?) but if you’re scheduling large scale rides that our hardware can’t render/support, that’s a major problem. Wonder if that’s why so few Haute ride times are scheduled…?

Same here. On the bright side, if it doesn’t get sorted I’m stepping away from tomorrow and Sunday’s Haute! It’s not all about the stats, but it kind of is…

Everyone - our team is under the hood and investigating the root cause of this issue. We hope to have this fixed as quickly as possible.

We appreciate the reports in this one thread - from a forum admin’s POV, the velocity of reports gives me a clear indication of the severity of a problem. I hope we can get a few reports of this being fixed for alla y’all shortly.

Point well taken, posted in the “heat of the moment” when I was just happy to have finished:-). Been Zwifting since 2015, and yes overall they are pretty stable. Unfortunately when they do fail it’s usually in a big event or staged event after you’ve given a big effort…

Same thing happened after finishing Haute Route. Zwift crashed while trying to save. Since then, I’ve received an email from Zwift stating I finished stage 1.

My companion app now shows a summary of the ride on my activities feed, but the detail screens are missing. Summary on activities feed shows distance, time, elevation and calories.

Activity was not uploaded to Strava, Garmin or Training Peaks.

Started the haute route today 18:00 CET. My first race in half a year and maybe the only chance to race for a while due to the lockdown.

Engine completely froze, 1 frame per 10 seconds, after 8’ of “Racing” I had like 3 minutes on my clock.

Whats up here? Never had a problem in training by now …

Same here, did the Haute Route at 1500 CET, finsihed and saved (on Windows PC) as done many times before. Took a while, but did not experience any kind of crash, so expected it was because of the high load the saving took so long time. So far, the companion app only shows 41,5 km so far, but I did get a mail that I completed the first stage of Haute Route. No final activity, no Strava upload.

Zwift failed to upload the activity. Left the iPad for over 45min and then it crashed. Now it just shows in Companion as a regular watopia activity with a time of over 3hrs though I completed Haute Route Stage 1 in 2hrs14min. I’m beyond furious :frowning:

Same. Saved only a half of ride. Moreover, if I try to enter this ride in my activity feed, tab stuck completely! Check it out The at Home Cycling & Running Virtual Training App

just to let you know… my new Mission is updated with 49,1 km instead my Companion with 40km… for the Haute Route 9:00 ride…

Had the same thing with a different group ride this afternoon, PACK Slackers SUB2 Ride - Watopia Waistband. Completed the ride took a while to save, but seemed to have completed the save. But the file seems to be corrupted in some way and only shows up as a ride around Watopia. Also had issues on the Mark Cavendish ride yesterday, the app crashed just after the start, I tried to rejoin 4 times but it crashed each time after a few second.
