Elite Suito power readings

Hello Harry, I made a complaint to Elite’s customer service. They asked me to do some intervals with various watts, save them and send to them. they sent me the JSON file afterwards. I don’t have the file, it’s been a while, sorry…

Hello Tolga, thanks for your quick answer. I will contact the customer service.

I’ve requested a new power map with Elite support last year, but now I’m more interested in tweaking it to perfection myself.

Any idea how to interpret the power map?

The Elite Suito is reading about 10% low on sprint powers (600+ watt).

Hi friends, I’m posting as I’m facing a similar issue. My suito is reporting something like 15% lower than my power pedals. I trust the pedals, and the power I see from them seems to be realistic in terms of my fitness level. I can’t bust a 1000w sprint on the suito but I can hit 1200 on the pedals.

Has anybody figured out a way to get the power up or get it more accurate? I’d be happy somewhere around 2-5% but I’m concerned I’ll see bad training data when I put the pedals back on my outdoor bike in the summertime. I get there will be descrepencies, but yuck.

I will reach out to suito once I grab the serial number.

Lately I setup Suito to use the power data of my power meter instead of it’s own. I’m very happy with the outcome

Thanks, that’s what I plan to do- recalculate FTP this weekend with the power pedals.

It sounds like a new JSON file with the help of Elite may get my trainer more accurate. I remember doing a workout with power to my garmin and trainer to zwift and there being quite a difference.

Hi Matt, do you still have the json with regards to the Elite Suito?

Hey there! I’m just yet another victim of Elite Suito power readings with exactly the same readings as you guys (10-20% off, usually 12-15%). @Tolga_Sarac1 can you share how you configured the trainer to use your pedals power readings instead? I think I did it too now, but I’m not sure it worked just yet. I’m just thinking that in case any other user comes up to this thread with the same issues, he can rest assured that there is a good enough easy to follow fix for it.
What I’ve done was to open the Elite training app and through the first steps configure the pedals power meter to be used. I also saw DC Rainmaker’s new video about the firmware update on Elite Suito that allows bridging the heart rate and cadence sensor, so I’m not sure if the way I did it was correct. Anyway, I guess I will confirm it tomorrow on my next training session. Or maybe today if I’m feeling anxious to check the fix :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: )
edit: btw, I noticed this first on TrainerRoad app though. And today on FulGaz. )

There is a firmware update for the Elite Suito. Did anyone already installed this update and does it solve the problems with the low power readings?

Doesn’t solve, unfortunately.

Hi,
has someone already solved the problem ?

Hi! I’m also in contact with Elite support team. Should get a new json file by tomorrow. I’ll let you know if that fixed it. One thing to confirm is that, yes, the support team is very nice and quick to respond. The power tests/workout they ask us to perform are not easy, but you can skip the hardest steps and work with them to fix it. I’ll let you know asap. Cheers

Great to hear, would it be possible to send me the json file (personal email removed - DM to ask for it)?

Sure, why not. But it’ll probably not be the same values for yours. I’ll let you know, anyway.

json file might not be correct for the other users.

yup, most likely will be incorrect for other users.

I am aware of this and have also written to support. I’d just be interested in comparing multiple json files.
Thank you.

Well, seems they are currently “closed for Christmas holiday” so I will have to wait untill after the 8th for their analysis. I will let you know when I get some results. Have a happy new year! :+1:t2:

At last, the power readings are now looking much much better.

You can see my test results comparing the data from the Elite Suito Trainer on top vs the Assioma Power Meter on bottom, in the picture below:

This is now very much more satisfying.

@Jan_Vlcek I don’t know how to DM you. Feel free to DM me.

Just move feom a suito to a Saris H3 …ftp 240 to 257 ! According to Elite works well…
