I’m a Zwift noobie looking for some advice. I’ve just bought a Saris H3 and am using the Android app for Zwift. Everything pairs correctly but when in ‘Just Ride’ mode I don’t get any additional resistance on hills which results in my just using one gear the entire time. Can anyone offer any advice on what I’m doing wrong?
i tried this again with windows 10 and the ANT+ dongle and it still is not working. I tried several different configurations, using a different USB port, with and without the USP extension.
I am having the same issues with bluetooth and tried my ant+ all connects fine but is not controllable most of the time, when it does kick in it may be on the flat or way over the incline percentage, very frustrating. Have reported the issue twice with no response.
Yes, done all of that, all the data is showing on the screen, the bit that is not working correctly is the controllable bit. Can sometimes get it to connect using bluetooth, again all the data is shown, just the controllable element not working, when it does kick in (now and again) the resistance is not synchronized with what is on the screen.
I am fairly sure that I am using the correct option as you shared in your screen shot and like Warren_Codd, it is not being controlled. I will double check again this afternoon when I ride. Can you tell me what color the light is on your trainer when you connect this way? Mine stays a flashing green light. When it has been controllable using bluetooth and the companion app it is a solid blue light.
Thank you for continuing to help trouble shoot this.
Thank you for the light summary, i have been trying to find something like this for a while. I tried to hook mine up again, still no control. Please see screen shot. I can get the solid white light on Rouvy but never on Zwift. I purchased the Cycleops ANT+ dongle is it possible there is an issue with that or a setting in my computer? Although it does work with Rouvy so I am at a loss.
I tried different ports. Also I went into my computer to look at other settings to see if I could find something different. I did find that some how at some point the Bluetooth on my computer paired with my trainer and as I understand Bluetooth on the PC does not work well with zwift. I unpaired my trainer from the Bluetooth on the computer and all is working well now. I am using Bluetooth through the companion app but I finally have control over my trainer.
I do find it interesting that I have never been able to get my ANT+ to control my trainer. It is probably something I am not setting up right, I am no tech guy for sure.
No, I am good to go through Bluetooth with the companion app.
Still cannot connect with the ANT+ dongle.
Not sure why ANT+ doesn’t work for me but as long as I can connect via Bluetooth and the companion app and have it work as intended, I am good with that.
@Kenny_Massa
I’ve got as much at skin in the game as anyone because I loaned my personal H3 to our QA team so they can test from their homes. No Zwifting for me until this gets fixed for everyone. Believe me, I’ll be the first to tell you when we’ve got a progress report.
