Disable Streak Screen

Please allow the user to disable the streak screen - clicking is annoying.

So we used to be able to hit esc once to make this screen go away. Now that just jumps to the continue button and we have to hit esc again to make it go away. Can we please just disable? Nobody needs to see it after every single ride activity. Once a week (or less) would be more than enough. Or never would honestly be better…

Now if the ā€œskipā€ button actually skipped …

I’m not sure that the person who added the ā€œskipā€ button understood the problem and how to solve it.

Need to be able to just get rid of it permanently. I do events like Duathlons that have limited time between legs and dealing with this screen is just one more thing as I am dying LOL

Agreed. I think it’s insane when ANY software developer adds ANY new feature and thinks, ā€œEVERYONE will love this so much that there’s no reason to offer a Disable option, because who would ever want to turn it off?ā€

Ugh.

Agreed - I don’t cycle loads on Zwift, just a few shortish rides a week and waiting around for this graphic to load some information I don’t really care about is really annoying. I’ve been using Zwift for a few years now at this steady pace, I do not need this nudge/encouragement to keep going. Please give me a disable feature, not just skip!

Cycling back to this, has the person who implemented the ā€œskipā€ button managed to get the message that skip should skip the entire Streak Screen sequence and put us back into the regular start screen etc?

Of course, the other, possibly preferred option to many people, would be to allow us to turn off the streak screens completely.

But if we cannot turn them off then at the very least make the ā€œskipā€ button actually skip them.

Yes, exactly. Been zwifting since 2016, and other than four weeks off last year for an injury I have not missed a week since then. Number of weeks in a row I have zwifted is not of any interest. Especially if it gets in my face after EVERY ride. And between events if I need to exit and select. Argh what a waste of time.

Can you disable this post as a solution?

Why would you want this thread disabled?

For many/several/some the solution given is not an appropriate solution and they may wish to comment further on this thread, just as you wished to and did.

Edit: ps, if my reply to your post is the actual reason you want the thread disabled your solution is:- don’t reply to my post and delete both your two posts.

Sorry, I didn’t mean that. I meant can we have the option to ā€˜de-mark’ the post by @shooj as a Solution

ā€œA skip button is comingā€

The OP called for a way to disable this feature not skip it. I don’t know if it actually works like this, but for me it always seems like if a thread is marked as Solved (but is is not) then that is the end of the matter for the Co… We all pay a lot of money for Zwift, getting this fixed should not be something that drags on for so long

Sorry, my fault I misunderstood your use of disable.

Unfortunately Zwift is unlikely to remove the solution as they probably consider the Skip facility as a suitable solution.

No probs! Fingers crossed for a resolution anyway. Best, Will

Just out of curiosity, what does the skip button actually do?

Because I press it all the time, and I don’t see any difference without pressing the skip button.

Is it just skipping of the animation of filling the bar? Because it definitely isn’t closing the screen

It gives people something to do while they wait for the screen to load.

It gives us hope that it ends quickly.

ā€œSkipā€ even if it actually skipped the screen is not a solution. Please give an option to disable it entirely. Please also bring your UI/UX people in to look at the process of ending out of a ride as it takes about a dozen taps/clicks to end the ride, get a power trace screenshot taken, selected, saved, then actually end the ride, get through the streak screen, close Zwift, and then confirm closing Zwift.

The skip button doesn’t do a thing.
There should be a box to check in settings that allows anyone to choose to actually skip the streak screen, meaning not see it at all.

Maybe it’s like elevators where the close-door-button just gives you an illusion of control…

Agree, there is so much I can do with those 10secs!
