A firmware update for Polar H9 and H10 heart rate monitors (HRM) may cause these monitors to no longer appear in the Zwift Pairing Screen. Polar’s firmware version 4.1.10 and newer comply with the European Union Radio Equipment Directive to safeguard personal data.
Apple and Android devices running the Zwift app
Your device shoul trigger an OS prompt to connect to your pulse monitor if you are Zwifting on macOS / tvOS / iOS / Android.
Windows computers running the Zwift app
Native Bluetooth connection
- If Zwift is running, close it.
- If the device is already connected to the Windows OS pairing screen, disconnect and re-pair to it. See this Microsoft support page for specifics on Windows 10 vs Windows 11.
- Launch Zwift.
- In the Zwift Pairing Screen, freshly reconnect to your device’s Bluetooth signal.
Bridged connection using Zwift Companion
When pairing over Zwift Companion, your Android or iOS smartphone will prompt you for permissions. Once you consent, the Companion app will relay the secured connection to the Zwift Pairing Screen.
