My red beacon is fixed and never changes and it’s hit and miss if it shows so not sure late changing it is an issue.

Hey everyone - there are several ride leader bugs that we’re working on. The fix for the one described here is resolved in game version 1.77.0.
After you update to 1.77, please keep an eye out for these symptoms to occur / not. These are complex because the multiple conditions that lead up to the bug must all be met. If you do notice ongoing issues with ride leaders or sweepers, please let us know.

Hi since this update my zwift (ingame) is lagging and not working anymore.

A red beacon left halfway through a 100km ride a few days ago and the beacon changed in 1 minute so that worked fine.
On the multiple red beacons issue I have temporarily fixed the issue for the weekly ride I do as red beacon by logging in 15 minutes early before anyone else. This has worked for me every week for getting on for 2 months, until today, when another person on the red beacon list also logged in around the same time or soon after me. She saw a red beacon over her, but most people logged in over 10 minutes later with only about 3 minutes or less to go, and they all saw me as red beacon, not her. Just for your info.
I can tell you that it’s a LOT worse than it has ever been. This issue happens nearly every BMTR SA ride and has for a while now. In this evenings ride, the sweep list had a half dozen or so listed. I was 3rd in the list. I joined a little early and had the RB. When one of the two ahead of me joined, I still had the beacon. I quit then rejoined to clear that. But as it turns out a number of people still saw the beacon above me during the ride. I was #3 in the list. I saw #1 with the beacon. The person second in the list never had the beacon or was seen by anyone as having it. Other rides multiple people each see themselves as having the beacon.
Look, this issue has been going on for nearly a year (or more) and Zwift seems completely uninterested in doing anything about it. Very disappointed.
Hi Gary. If you had read the threads above you would have realised that this issue is being worked on to the best of Zwifts ability. Yes it has been going on for a long time, but the more they looked into it the more complex it has become. Apparently it is even related to the issue of the time it takes for the beacon to pass from one leader to another when the first beacon leaves. That used to be 10 minutes and has now been changed to 1 minute. I am a red beacon in a ride where multiple beacons happened every week. Now it never happens as I log in 15 minutes before the start, well before any other red beacons in the list, and I am the only one with the red beacon. So as a short term fix, get your red beacon to log in long before any of the others on the list and your problem will be solved until Zwift finally sort this one out.
