Zwifters Nearby "Re-Center" Me

Is there a setting that controls if my row in the Zwift App’s Zwifters Nearby list remains homed near the list middle (or at least visible)? I don’t see anything on iPad. Yesterday, admittedly during a pretty busy time on NYC routes, I was continually pushed off-screen - sometimes [far] above, sometimes [far] below. A GUI control to bring me back on-screen doesn’t seem like an appropriate solution - that wouldn’t be a great deal better than having to manually scroll the list like was [frequently] necessary yesterday.

It seems like the app should glom onto some event that occurs about every 15 (TBR) seconds and use that to check if the user is anywhere on-screen. [I recognize the programming challenges associated with differentiating automated displacement from a user who manually temporarily scrolled themself off-screen.]

I noticed there was an analogous problem reported years ago with ZC that has an interactive GUI control solution. As mentioned above, the user shouldn’t have to ‘home’ themselves, IMHO.

a quick double tap ?

Certainly willing to give it a try, but I don’t routinely keep the screen within arm’s reach and find it somewhat challenging to do precise touch operations while riding. All the other app interactions I need are done with the Play (or Click) controllers. It won’t surprise me to find the double-tap attempts often resulting in me watching some random rider’s point-of-view. Besides, with yesterday as my case-study, I’d have had to double-tap about once every minute or so. The app really ought to handle this, IMHO.

Why isn’t the iPad more conveniently located for interaction? To distance it from the ‘blast zone’ of sweat, saliva, and occasional blood. LOL
