I just set up my Zwift Ride to my Kickr Core 2 Trainer. The thru axle was getting loose after a few pedal strokes but then I noted the cog was on setting 5 rather than setting 1. After changing it to setting 1, the thru axle no longer became loose. However, I do note a lot of dust in the area where the orange cog meets the white frame and a clicking noise as well.
Is this normal, does it just need a break in period?
I think you’re missing the drive side spin cap on the trainer.
Thanks Paul. I wish the video and manual would clearly show pictures that all 3 “pieces” need to be used. The larger unit with the 142 labeling on the non drive side and then slide in the “silver” adapter on the drive side AND then also slide the “black” adaptor over the “silver adaptor on the drive side and then show pictures what it should look like when correctly placed and what it looks like if you did it incorrectly. They say and only show the one piece on the drive side. This is what it looks like now and you can see that there is space between the cog and the
frame. I will give it a go and if I still have an issue, will reach back out to the forum. Thanks for your help.
Thanks Jurgen. This is a good video and this video is different than the video they now provide when you scan the QR code on the Zwift Ride manual that comes with the actual bike. My issue was that I had 3 adaptor parts in the box not 2. In the video, I noted that 1 of the parts was already installed in the Zwift cog drive side right out of the box and no mention of it in the video. In the video I used, it shows that you install 1 adaptor on the drive side and 1 adaptor on the non drive side. The drive side adaptor was a “silver” part so I picked up the silver adaptor and placed it in the drive side. I then placed another adaptor in the non drive side and attached the bike. I did see I had a leftover “black” adaptor but it appeared in the video I used that there were parts for a quick release and I assumed that part had something to do with the quick release. In any case, I wish I would have been directed to the video you provided.
The silver one is the lock nut of the freehub body. It should already have been installed and tightened. Please check that it is tightened correctly.
