Zwift cog nut doesn't tighten onto Wahoo Kickr Core - help!

Hello! I just ordered a Zwift cog to install on my Kickr Core. I was running a cassette with quick release before with a different bike. However, now with a thru axle bike, I am having an issue with the adapter on the drive side because the lock nut (adapter) doesn’t tighten AT ALL onto the kickr core to secure the zwift cog. I am able to secure the bike and cog with the bike’s thru axle but not sure that’s even proper. The original nut of the wahoo kickr fits with the zwift cog but it’s too short and makes the bike frame press against the cog which adds enough friction that it doesn’t let the cog spin freely. Not sure what to do. I do believe I installed it correctly but my issue with it is that the nut (adapter) doesn’t tighten on its own without the thrue axle. I need help. Do I need to buy the Wahoo thru axle kit? I already bought the Zwift hub adapter kit but that’s not very much working out.

I’d appreciate any help on this. Thank you.

The top picture looks like it’s missing the spacer on the non-drive side of the axle.
Not sure how the Cog tightens down but if it’s with a standard Shimano style cassette tool, remove any thru-axle spacers as the tool could be bottoming out before it gets tight.

Hi @M_Maldonado!

Welcome to the forums! Thanks for bringing this query to our attention and for sharing the pictures! Jose here from Zwift.

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble installing your Zwift Cog. Please try uninstalling and reinstalling it by following the steps in this article. Let us know how it goes!

Thank you Grame, is there supposed to be a spacer on the non-drive side? I don’t believe I received a spacer for the no-drive side, only the drive side. I did add the spacer as shown on the Zwift video instructions. It now tightens but only using the thru axle. Let’s say I remove the bike from the trainer, the zwift cog should stay in place on the trainer, but it doesn’t, is slides right out, does that make sense? (I wish I could upload a video).

I’ve no experience of the Cog to advise so suggest following the Zwift guidance above re the install. In terms of spacers, the Wahoo kit includes left and right side spacers depending on frame width (142/148) and I have seen them with lockrings for the right side for Shimano and SRAM, as well as just a push on cap.
