Zwift Ride Handlebar will not tighten fully

Hi. I recently purchased a Zwift Ride and except for a handlebar issue, is working brilliantly. For some reason the clamp assembly for the handlebar wobbles and it is impossible to tighten. There is no problem securing the fire and aft position. Has anyone else experienced this problem and did you find a solution?

Sorry to hear that. Mine was a little wobbly, then I loosened it off, removed and reinstalled it and torqued it up to 10Nm and it is solid as a rock. It’s worth checking that it is properly seated in the grooves etc.

Thanks I’ll give it another try

Did you figure it out, Finn? I’m still having issues.

To help anyone else experiencing this issue, in shipping, the handlebar clamp can rattle loose and come apart in the box. The clamp consists of 3 parts:

  1. Black bolt.
  2. Round black spacer.
  3. Square black plate with threads.

These 3 parts need to be reassembled as shown in the drawing below.

If the black spacer is missing, it will prevent the handlebar from fully tightening. I’d recommend checking the bottom of your handlebar box if you are missing this.

Reach out to support if you cannot locate one of the 3 parts and ask for a “Handlebar Clamp Nut Set”, and we will arrange for a replacement.

I just got a Zwift Ride. The bars wiggle in the stem even when fully tightened – I think the bolt is a little long for the clamp thing. Does anyone have a diagram or picture of what the setup shoul dloo like?

Alejandro - I have the same issue with my Zwift Ride handlebars being loose. I’ve installed them correctly according to the instructions; I put them on and took them off 3 times to see if I was missing anything. The 2 sides “rails” are in their slots and the bottom “floater” piece is in its slot as well. Screw is tightened but there is still play in the handlebars. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Yes, thank you. The issue was that the washer that goes in the bars was missing, Zwift replaced and they are fine now.
