Zwift Play firmware 1.2.0

Similar experience here. Two hour ride today. Left controller connected straight away and worked the entire ride. Right controller didn’t fully connect at startup (looked like it was connected but didn’t work). Powered it off/on and it started working. Over the course of the ride, the right controller disconnected/reconnected 7 times (determined by perusing the log file). Right controller is less than 1m from the BT dongle while the left controller is slightly closer.

Sometimes just pressing the Z button often doesn’t seem to have any effect. Sometimes holding the Z button works.

@Rowdy some feedback on the latest updates.

Windows 10, Zwift 1.46, Play 1.2.0

Tried using plays without the power lead and right controller buzzes every 10-30 seconds as before dropping in out out of connection. Plugged power back in and this almost eradicates it.

Steering and buttons work all the time regardless of the buzzing. But once the right controller has buzzed then the return ride on and rideon bombs graphics no longer work even though holding Z does give a ride on bomb.

Once the right controller has buzzed if I go into pairing then either both or one of the plays will no longer be checked, if I check it and go back to the ride then Rideon Bomb graphic works again until the next buzz at which point it stops showing.

Oddly my right hand play is the one nearest my PC and bluetooth as it about 50cm to my right on a shelf level with the play?

Sad to say the latest updates really havn’t fixed any of my issues.

I did my 1st ride with 1.2.0 and Zwift 1.46 and had ZERO issues in just over and hour of riding.

In just over 2 months i had only 1 ride when right controller reconnected and i lost visual of Zwift Bombs and Ride Ons.

wish that was the case for me. Maybe the pair you got weren’t beta

During a race today the ZP just went crazy and pulled the brakes without me touching them. So my avatar got stuck and I lost any chance to do a result in that race.
I had to disconnect the ZP for the brakes to release and to be able to have a moving avatar again.

I was using 1.1.1 since 1.2.0 wasn’t available for me before the race.

Afterward I tried again and then the update was available.

Hopefully it is fixed with 1.2.0, but given @Lee_H post (Zwift Play firmware 1.2.0 - #7 by Lee_H) I’m afraid it’s still there.

Needless to say that I won’t use the ZP during a race until an official communication is made about this issue being fixed.

Had all of the same Zwift Play issues on a RP ride this morning, plus a new feature whereby every 15 mins or so the avatar steered itself hard to the right (out of the draft) and I had to hold the left Play steering button persistently until it stopped. Then ok for a while, then repeat experience. No idea why that suddenly crept into the ride features.

Updated firmware at some point over the weekend and only got around to using them earlier, no issues and everything worked as they should

Out of interest, what kind of ride? For me, the most problematic connections and experiences are during RP rides, and particularly larger groups. If I’ve done a ride on my own (workout or climb portal), or a group ride, it can be totally fine.

Did 8 minutes with a pacer around the volcano then a 33min race in France followed by 12min with a pace partner on triple flat loops

Thing is I’ve never experienced most of the issues that others are describing, mine have never disconnected etc

Ok that sequence would absolutely send my steering equipment into a tailspin…
