Zwift Hub temperature

Is it normal for the Zwift hub to get over 150°f after a hour of riding?

I’ve had the Zwift Hub for almost 2 years and last night I noticed the top of the flywheel was very hot after riding for a hour at 170w average. I’ve never noticed it before but I’ve also never touched the flywheel after riding before. Only the top of the flywheel was hot, the bottom was in the 90s.

I touched it because I started to hear an intermittent ticking sound coming from the trainer and I was trying to see if I could replicate it by spinning the flywheel so I could be next to the trainer to better isolate where the sound is coming from.

This picture was taken 10 minutes after I finished riding.

I would contact support and see if they want to replace it

I asked Wahoo about the same issue around 160F with my KickR v5 and they said under hard use upward temperatures of 200F could be reached at the flywheel surface.
