I’m on my third HRM from Zwift and none have worked properly. This one doesn’t usually record a rate during a workout even though the app says it is working. And when it does record it seems to stay at the 120’s bpm even when that can’t be true. Any solution?
Hi @Mark_Andrews1,
Thank you for posting! I am Nelson from Zwift Support.
I’m sorry to read about your recent experience. I reviewed your account and found brief but continuous Bluetooth disconnections from the Wahoo TICKR Heart Rate Monitor.
Please note that the usual cause for Bluetooth dropouts is wireless signal interference. Check out this article for tips on how to prevent this from occurring.
As an additional suggestion, make sure your HRM has the latest firmware version and no other devices are running Zwift at the same time.
If you need any further assistance, don’t hesitate to contact us via email at Zwift Support. We will be there for you.
What are you running the game on?
Given the history you reported it may not be the HRM, then again Tickrs are well known for failures. Were the previous HRMs you tried something else?
It’s a TICKR. I’m strictly on Zwift. Yesterday it seemed to work fine but today it was glitchy again.
I typically moisten my skin as well as the contacts, but even that doesn’t always have an effect.

What’s the device you use to run Zwift?
You might also try pairing via the Companion app, and you could also test the Tickr using the Wahoo app on your phone. If it doesn’t get reliable signal with that, then you should probably be talking to Wahoo support.
My Tickr was a Royal PITA… try this:
Take battery out. Put thumbs on connection studs (that connect to the strap) and hold for 15 seconds. This drains any residual electricity and resets the Tickr. Install battery and try.
My experience is the above will work for a period of time but eventually it just dies.
went thru 2 tickrs, 3 different straps and eventually gave up and bought a coospo h9z, i think the older design that wahoo used for the straps and having the ends be the contact points made them unreliable, they do appear to have changed strap design now mind
