Zwift - Garmin 935 - Samsung Tab S7 Plus

Hi all. Yesterday i tried the Zwift app on my new Samsung Tab S7 Plus, it seems to works fine in combination with my Tacx Neo

The question i have : My heart rate comes from my Garmin Forerunner 935. I thought i would be able to connect this to my Samsung tablet without issue. But i cant get it to find it. Is the only solution to buy a USB dongle for this or should it find it without as well?

Thanks !

Does the Garmin have an option to transmit HR over Bluetooth?

To the best of my knowledge it does.

Activate this option and it should talk to your tablet.

I know there is a function on the watch through which i can share my heart rate but I’m not sure if that signal is Bluetooth or ANT+.

Next to that I was also wondering if the Samsung tab that I have, can receive both ANT+ and Bluetooth… its not clear to me because when I start the Zwift App and its looking for devices i see in the top left corner that it seems to be looking for both ANT and Bluetooth signals…

Yes your tablet can do both.
Your watch will transmit BT if you select the broadcast option.
If you start an activity it will broadcast in Ant+

Drives me mental… On my Samsung phone it finds the forerunner straight away when I share the HR signal on the watch
On my Tab S7+ I can’t get it to work…
Doesn’t find it.

The Zwift app needs permission to use location on your tablet but not only that, you must pick “only when the app is running” and not “always.”

This may resolve the issue.

I am starting to get the impression that the latest Galaxy Tab S7+ doesn’t have Ant+ anymore…

You’d be right.

Seems Samsung have dropped support for Ant+ with the S7 series.
