Purchased a Swift Frame ride and tried to update my Wahoo kickr v5 
which apparently is not compatible to your use the virtual shifters. Very disappointed works only on the Wahoo kicker core 2and Wahoo kickr V6. A warning should be in place rather then finding this out to late.
When you buy the Zwift Ride frame there are drop-down menus to select your trainer, in order to see if the Zwift Ride frame is compatible. The Kickr v5 is not listed. Did you not check this before buying your frame?

Yes however I thought Wahoo Kickr in general was competible I found out later it wasn’t yes my own fault I only want to warn others for my mistake. I bought the Wahoo 3 years ago and now it’s not compatible any more. As consumer you have to expect after 3 years you still receive updates but this isn’t the case. There a law in progress which prevents this 2027 the cyber resilience act.
That has nothing to do with compatibility with new features so it doesn’t offer any protection in this case.
There are numerous existing topics on the forum about virtual shifting on the Kickr V5 since Wahoo at first said they would support it and later said no.

It’s possible the QZ (qdomyos) would make this combo work. There’s also a Facebook group for support
I’m hoping QZ will be detectable and blocked by Zwift soon.
