I managed to finish one ride just fine on my Zwift bike while connected to my iPad.
Satisfied that everything works I agreed to started the 14-day trial via the Apple Subscription.
Now my rider just stands at the start line no matter how hard I peddle.
The KIKR and steering controls still connect just fine, but the ride does not start.
I have deleted and reinstalled everything.
I have tried multiple email accounts.
I have tried another iPad not connected to my Apple account.
The Wahoo app by itself works just fine, and I can control the resistance.
Bit on my wits end here. My subscription expires on 12 Dec, not sure if the problem then magically disappears?
Any idea what I can do to get the Zwift app to properly work again?
Good afternoon, I have exactly the same problem since the installation yesterday morning. I can’t get the cyclist moving in any way. I have already tried to contact Zwift twice, but after a first message and response it remains silent for hours or even worse, I have been waiting for an answer since yesterday afternoon. Nothing works and helps. I have already installed everything 3 times and everything is on connected and blue.
Hi Sven Erik, my avatar never was able to move/ride, I just bought the Wahoo Kickr Core and the Zwift bike last week. The app is installed correctly, and I am able to connect the connection buttons for power source and resistance and cadence nicely to the Kickr Core. I also can connect the button for controls to the Zwift handlebars. So there is no bluetooth connection issue. But still the avatar doesn’t move. Although the avator does react on for example the brakes, I see a red backlight appearing then I brake.
I also updated the software for both the Wahoo Kickr Core and the Zwift handlebars to the latest version, by the way.
Does anybody know if this maybe could be related to the free trial period?
It could be, or it could be the brakes are stuck on. If that’s the case it would start working if you go into settings and move the Braking Sensitivity setting all the way to the left.
I would expect it to alert you in-game when they want money.
You have a Zwift Ride bike right? That’s how I read your original post. If you have that or the Play controllers paired, it should appear in settings in the HARDWARE tab. If it doesn’t then maybe you have a pairing problem?
Also I suggest not paying via Apple. It’s the source of a lot of renewal problems that you won’t experience if you pay on the Zwift website.
Hi Paul, of course I first needed to wake up the controllers. Now I can see the braking sensitivity setting. Unfortunately your suggestion doesn’t have any effect…. The avatar stilll doesn’t move.
I’ve made a screenshot of the settings, maybe something else is not right there.
It is solved. It was the free trial period via Apple pay. That was valid for the next 11 days. I cancelled this subscription (still it goes on for the next 11 days but it doesn’t extend anymore via Apple pay now), and I changed the payment method in creditcard, and after I did that my avatar started moving.
I hope this will help others with the same avatar problem.
