zwift crashing on win7 pc

 I’m a new user and can’t get zwift to work.

I click to open the app and zwift opens, I log in ok then i get the image of a woman on a turbo and then the program crashes.

I’ve tried uninstalling zwift and reinstalling + updating to no avail. I’m hedging my bets that the graphics card needs updating ( Any recommendations)? but I want to exhaust all other ideas before shelling out more money after buying a tacx neo and TTS4 recently.

System setup is as follows:

AMD phenom II x4 955 @ 3.2Ghz

16Gb DDR3 RAM

M’Board ECS a785gm-m

Nvidia Quadro FX 5500 (Direct X9.0c, OpenGL2.0)
