Hi! I have been using Zwift Click and Cog since early July and have recently started having connection issues. This morning, I experienced power issues.
Here is my setup:
- Zwift on Apple TV 4k
- Companion on current-generation iPad
- Running my connections (Click/Cog, Zwift Hub, Wahoo TRACKR HRM) through Companion
- iOS, firmware and apps all up-to-date
- iPad is located about 18” (46cm) from Click
- I have moved the Apple TV to a couple of different locations to see if it makes a difference, but it doesn’t seem to.
- Home router is located about 30’ (9m) from where I have my setup.
Symptoms:
- Occasionally lose connection completely and have to restart my ride to get connected again.
- Disconnections almost always occur between 10 and 15 minutes into the ride.
- Today at about 5:30 AM ET, I started a group ride (group C on Tempus Fugit). After the pedal assist stopped the resistance didn’t pick up. I went to my normal gear range (I usually use 17), and was spinning at 100+ RPM at 30-60w. I shifted up to 22 or 23 and suddenly, I got all the resistance. I shifted back down to the 15-17 range and started wildly spinning again with barely any power. I exited the ride and started again with almost identical results.
- After the second ride failed, I tried to start a third time and noticed that Click was not connecting. I completely rebooted both Zwift and Companion and waited for Click to turn off. I chose to ride the Beach Island Loop this time instead of doing a group ride. In the first 5 minutes or so, I felt some slipping sensations, but they didn’t seem to affect the power output.
Bottom line, I am having Click issues that don’t seem to conform to any of the known issues. Any tips for fixing this situation?
