The Companion app recognized my click and let me update the firmware however, when I use the Zwift companion app to connect my Bluetooth devices to my Apple TV, it recognizes the trainer. My heart rate monitor, my pedals, the left and right play controllers, but doesn’t recognize the click. I thought initially the problem might be that I couldn’t run the play in the clicks simultaneously so I turned off the plays and I still do not see the click. It doesn’t matter if I try to connect the click directly to the Apple TV via Bluetooth or through the Companion app it never displays the click as a controller.
Do I have a defective click?
Hi @GixxerScott, Welcome to the Zwift Forums!
Fernanda here, part of the support specialist team at Zwift.
I appreciate you bringing this to our attention, lets work together to find a solution! By the description you shared it looks like your click is suffering diverting pairing, there is always the option that the Click is not working properly, but first, let’s try to find a solution by:
- Deleting the bluethoot cache of your Apple TV, and the iPhone running the Zwift Companion.
- Please, perform a reset of the game preferences on the Apple TV, following these steps:
- Delete the Zwift app.
- re-install Zwift from the App Store.
- select Ride and reset your in-game preferences.
- Please check the battery level of the Click, you can view the battery status in the Zwift Companion app.
Once you complete these steps please try to perform the pairing of the Click once more.
Let me know how it goes!
Hi,
I have a similar problem when connecting the Click to my iPad. It’s connecting with the Companion App but is not shown in Controls when starting the Zwift app. All other devices can be connected and I de-connected the Click from the Companion app. The blue light is flashing, so battery is okay and device ready to connect.
I also tried to connect the Click to Zwift on my iPhone, took the battery out and in again, re-installed the Zwift app. Nothing helped.
Can anyone help?
Hi,
I have the same problem and the solution provided by Zwift support does not work.
Any more proposals?
Thanks.
Best, Fares
Hello friends and welcome to Zwift forums! In order for the Click to appear in the Zwift pairing screen, a Zwift-Ready trainer must first be paired to Zwift to at least Power and Resistance (and not over ANT+).
@GixxerScott, it looks like you are on a JetBlack Volt trainer. Currently, the Volt does not support virtual shifting, so your Click will not be able to pair to Zwift at this time.
@Eddie_Jay, it looks like you’re on a Wahoo Kickr V5, which I’m afraid is not capable of virtual shifting at this time.
@Fares_Agua I can see that you were recently able to get your Click to start appearing and pairing after updating your Kickr V6’s firmware to the latest version. Up until version 5.2.15, the Kickr V6 was not compatible with virtual shifting.
Hi Rowdy, thank you, I finally figured it out. I have to say that the Zwift UI is pretty misleading because it says it does not find any devices, while it actually finds devices but knows they are incompatible. Would be great when the app gives the user that information. Best, Fares
