Even thought I performed all the steps documented to troubleshoot it, the Zwift Click I received two days ago do not pair with the Zwift Application. It does pair with the Zwift Companion but not pair with the Zwift application regardless of the platform I am trying (e.g. Apple TV, iPad or MacBook Air) or whether I use the iPhone as a bridge or not. It is not connected to any other application, has the latest firmware update and the Zwift and Zwift Companions apps are up to date. To aggravate my disappointment , I haven’t been impossible to chat with the support group to either further the troubleshooting and fix the issue or to get the approval to return the unit. Very disappointing for a company that has so many customers around the world. May be it is time to try alternative options.
Note: According to Google it seems that the Zwift Click A) does not yet with Wahoo KickR prior to version 6 but B) will eventually work with all versions. I hope this is correct because I have the first version of the KickR trainer. If this is the case, a clear warning should have been included along with the description of the unit so customers like me would not buy the unit and go through all the time consuming troubleshooting options and impossibility to reach customer support.
Hi @Jean-Marie_Billon Welcome to the Forums! I’m Norman from Zwift.
Yes, the Zwift Click works with trainers that have a Zwift Cog included. For other Wahoo Trainers that support Virtual Shifting, you can shift using the Zwift Play controllers. For more information on compatible trainers and how to shift, I recommend this article.
You don’t need to worry though, you can start a return for a refund using this link, we have a 30*day return policy for all of the items in the Zwift Shop.
Additionally, to reach the support team you can open a ticket with us anytime here.
Ride On.
Hey @Norman ,
What you wrote is pretty confusing and not in line with previous communication.
Zwift Click comes bundled with the trainer that is sold with a Zwift Hub, but from a functionality perspective should be paired to Zwift as a Controller for Virtual Shifting, right? Zwift Play - also a controller in-game - with more functions. Both can be used to control virtual shifting on any trainer that supports virtual shifting - correct?
Or, please correct me because I always thought about it this way.
Best regards,
Magnus
Hi
Hardware compatibility should have been clearly outlined before the purchase for sure.
Regarding Kickr trainers - Wahoo until now writes that support for virtual shifting is coming in Kickr V5 and V4 models via firmware updates at a later point of time. Older models of the Kickr than v4 will not receive support for virtual shifting (in Zwift).
