I installed my Zwift Cog + Click updgrade kit. All fine so far. Firmware update successfull and all components updated so far. The Click tutorial is fine too, but after that my problem starts: If I enter a course or an event, the click does not work and no gear indicator is shown in the app, too.
I use an iPad for the Zwift app and an Android phone for the Companion app.
Hi @Jens_Mielke, if the issue persists after enabling the virtual shifting from the setting please, write in at our zwift.com/contact-us for further investigation.
I have this exact same issue, however I’m unable to enable Virtual Shifting in settings. The Click connects fine, it works fine in the Tutorial (Settings > Controller > Tutorial), but in Settings > Virtual Shifting, it is set to OFF. I can’t click anything to enable the setting to ON in the UI (AppleTV 4k, all connections via Bluetooth connected through an iPad running Zwift Companion)
I have currently the same problem with Zwift Ride and its virtual shifting on iPad. The gears selection doesn’t pop up in settings and I can’t shift in the game. On the other hand, no issues on Macbook or iPhone.
Edit: I was able to solve the issue by updating the firmware in the companion app.
I had a same problem on my ipad. I had updated the firmware on the Zwift Click and my new Wahoo Kickr Core, but was not able to use Virtual Shifting. The Virtual Shifting was not even listed in the Zwift Settings Preferences.
I decided to try Zwift on my iphone, which I had not done before. I downloaded the app, and was able to successfully use Virtual Shifting with the Zwift Click.
So I decided to delete the Zwift app from my ipad, and reinstall it. The Virtual Shifting were then listed in the Settings Preferences, and set to on. I was able to then use the Zwift Click successfully from my ipad and it did not lose the connection.
I had been using a Elite Suito-T trainer prior to getting the Wahoo Kickr Core. The Elite can not use Virtual Shifting. So I’m wondering if the Virtual Shifting option had been deactivated and removed from the Zwift app, even thought I’m now connecting to a Wahoo Kickr Core.
So a suggestion to try is delete the Zwift app, and reinstall it.
