I have been using my zwift click and hub with a wahoo kickr core for 8 months now with no issues. Recently, the click battery died, and after replacing it it started to behave strangely.
It can connect via bluetooth to my mac as it has always done, but when I shift up or down, I experience no change in resistance, even though the virtual gear on my screen increases or decreases accordingly. I can never pedal at more than 50W because the resistance is so low the pedals just spin when I apply power, regardless what gear I am in.
ERG mode still works, and I get changes in resistance when terrain changes, so the resistance on my trainer still works.
I have turned off all bluetooth devices, deleted and redownloaded zwift, and tried pairing through the companion app instead to no avail.
Wondering if anyone else has had this issue and how they solved it, thanks.
One thing to try is shut down Zwift, run the Wahoo app, apply any available firmware updates, and then make a change to the wheel size in the Wahoo settings. This seems to be related to a Wahoo firmware bug. I am not sure if that’s what you are facing but it’s easy to try it.
Hey @Andrew_Giacomuzzo, Welcome to the Zwift forums. Jose from Zwift Support here
I’ve checked your account, and it appears your Zwift Click isn’t updated. Please update your Zwift Click by following the instructions in this article.
If the issue continues after the firmware update, please contact us or reply to this thread for further investigation.
Hello @Andrew_Giacomuzzo , Rowdy at ZHQ here. Welcome to the Zwift forums! It sounds like you’re encountering the issue in the thread that @Paul_Southworth linked. There seems to be a bug occurring for some Wahoo trainer owners that causes the Wheel Circumference value to be lost. It won’t affect your trainer in ERG mode, but can affect virtual shifting, as Wahoo’s firmware requires a circumference value in order to apply virtual shifting properly.
As Paul noted, you can go into the Wahoo App and adjust the wheel circumference setting for your trainer. Any 700C setting should be fine- Zwift does not actually use this value.
