As described above, I performed a firmware update on my zwift click and now afterwards they will not turn on. Pressing and holding any button for any length of time has done nothing. I have tried to take the batteries out but the screws are in so tightly I cannot remove them. Anyone else had their clicks break because of this?
You should contact support ASAP since they will likely offer replacement if not some other solution.
If you want to try removing the screws again, these are my tips:
- Use a screwdriver with a large diameter handle that fills your hand. This will provide more torque and take advantage of your grip strength.
- Use a screwdriver that fits the screw head perfectly and is not worn out.
- Use a lot of downward pressure on the screwdriver. Get your body above the screwdriver. This will allow you to apply more torque without slipping.
Thanks for the tips, I managed to unscrew them using a pair of pliers clamped in to another screwdriver. That got them to turn on but now virtual shifting isn’t working ![]()
Do you see any firmware update available?
Generally Apple devices are more reliable for doing firmware updates on anything (iPhone/iPad).
Anyway you should for sure be talking to support so you don’t delay possible replacement.
