Zwift click 2 battery life

How long are you getting out of battery life? I ride roughly 5 hours per week and am having to change batteries every two weeks. I power everything down after every ride. Is this normal?

I don’t think this is normal. They should go to sleep when not in use. Sounds to me like they are staying connected to something. I have had them on mine for months and ride at least 5 hours per week and haven’t changed them once.

i rode 1083km in 1d and 14h and my left click was already red. That’s pretty fast tho… why is there no usb c option?

What is your Zwift setup?

I have used my click v2 once on a 50km ride and the battery is showing half used this morning. This can’t be right surely?

Wahoo kickr core | Apple TV | companion app on iPhone | Apple Watch for HR | click v2

Coin cell batteries are not very reliable when it comes to how much charge is left. It really is an estimation. You may find that if you disconnect everything, let the Click power off/sleep, reconnect and it will show a good charge remaining.
I had a battery low alert on one of my SRAM eTap shifter coin cell batteries, and was able to ride for 4 more months before it finally gave out.

Q: Why does this thing need a coin battery at all, when we’re not really moving, and wall power is right there?

It seems half full may have been an over-estimate. I had to replace the battery this morning. Let’s see how long the replacement lasts

Are you force quitting the Zwift app on your ATV (and Companion on your iPhone, if you’re using that to bridge connection) after each Zwift session? If not, it’s possible that your Clicks ate never going to sleep.

I think so-I exit Zwift on the atv and the app and then shut down atv from the settings menu

By ‘exiting’ do you mean swiping into the background, or actively force closing the app? These are two seemingly similar, but actually very different, things.

If you shut down the ATV, does it matter how you exit the app? The app connection to Zwift is terminated, which is one of the main points of force closing the app rather than backgrounding it.

Maybe not. But I think that when the ATV is restarted it will still show Zwift as being in the background, so I’m not really sure what happens. But if the OP is using ZC as a bridge, would it matter if the ATV is powered down, but ZC is just put into the background?

I use the door icon to exit zwift with the remote control - so I’m hoping that clears out the app? There are no lights left on the click units

This is the recommended process: Force Closing Zwift

If the lights have turned off, I would certain hope that’s an indication they have disconnected and gone ro sleep.

That doesn’t close the app, it just logs you out of Zwift. I would still force-close the app to be sure, ro avoid other issues. But I doubt that not doing a force-close is related to your Click issue.

Thanks All for the info. I’ll try the official app closing routine next time and see how it goes.

Mainly for water and sweat resistance! See how the PLAY charging ports are sealed. An open USB port will quickly corrode.
