any progress on a solution for this? my desktop is on the same network, but hardwired, and my phone is not showing the dashboard either, just list of rider names. i have rebooted my phone 4 times, and cleared the data from the android zwift mobile app…no luck. some guidance would be great.
My Samsung notes now works, I shut down mobile data to make sure the phone and computer are on the same wifi. My wifi reception was not the best.
Can anyone tell me if there is a good reason the app won’t work if the phone and computer are on the same network, but the computer is on ethernet (rather than wifi)?
Because wired and Wifi are not technically on the same network. I had to split my wireless into 2 access points for the different frequencies so they would connect.
Got it, but it seems like poor functionality to say that your computer has to be on a wifi network in order for the phone app to work, when the hardwired connection is so much faster.
Actually there probably isn’t any speed difference between wired and wireless. I am guessing that your wireless is 54g and your wired is 100/1000g, but I doubt your internet connection is beyond the speed of your wireless speed. BTW, I don’t think there is that much info going between your phone and your computer that wireless would be the bottle neck in the connection.
It is more of a networking issue then it is a Zwift program/app issue.
thanks for explaining!
…i’ll just try disabling the ethernet and see if it works.
I’m having the same problems with my Android tablet with version 5.01
I can seen the list of riders but can’t get onto the dashboard.
Everything works if I use my Android phone with version 4.4.2
I had to reboot my Android phone three times. All time had to leave it off for awhile the time. What can I do to fix it? Wanna solution of yahoo related queries just visit us https://yahoocustomerservice.co/about-yahoo/ we provide the best service
These last couple of weeks the android app seems to disconnect from ‘the game’ pretty frequently, this happens mostly in group rides, doesn’t seem such a problem solo. It will be working as normal and then just be as if I’m not riding. It will come back on it’s own eventually, maybe 5 or 10 minutes, or if I force close and restart it will connect again. This is not related to my wifi, as it’s a good signal and I have other devices running at the same time that don’t drop out, and never have.
t’s bugging me to the extent I’m going to find an old apk that was more stable, because it’s annoying to go type something or use a powerup or whatever and just not be able to do anything.
A similar disconnect-reconnect started happening to me last week but during solo rides. I restarted the wifi router and for the last two rides the android app did not disconnect during the game. Coincidence or solution? Time will tell.
