Are any users having problems with hill resistance when using Wattbikes? I have the Zwift app on an iPhone 12 and a Samsung Galaxy 20 and whilst the Wattbike app works perfectly with both, I now get no hill resistance. Any suggestions?
You haven’t upgraded the Wattbike firmware to a beta version, have you? Because the beta version is know to not play well with Zwift.
Thanks - I have got the WB beta firmware, but that was a Wattbike recommendation due to the WB falling out of sync on standard firmware. It worked perfectly for 2.5 years. Then three possible causes: 1. A WB service; 2 a WB firmware upgrade and 3. a Zwift upgrade.
I have written to WB.
Any suggestions in the meantime greatly appreciated.

Same boat here! I’m also having trouble with hill resistance and I’m using a WB Atom. My gearing feels really strange; I feel like I’m now having to use lower gears than usual but they feel extremely light, but as soon as I shift to my regular gears they feel too heavy. The moment I hit even a 1% incline it feels like I’m pedalling through mud. As an example, took me about 80 minutes of constant stopping and starting on the AdZ last weekend to make my way up it due to the constant crazy resistance changes. It’s horrendous and after fighting with it for a few sessions I now have a glute/hamstring pull (great!). Curious to see what the answer is here–-I feel the resistance has changed completely and it’s making it difficult to use the app.
And similarly my WB app is working fine and resistance is as expected.
