WattBike dropping resistance on Zwift

Hi everyone. I know this is a topic that repeatedly comes up but I’ve still never found a definitive answer to this problem with the WattBike Atom 2nd Gen.

To try and cut a long story short, I first got my WattBike in 2021. The first few weeks with it were plagued with issues - the resistance would drop on hills or if I was putting any power down (sprinting for example). Every time I used it. After going back and forth with WattBike, the bike was replaced after a few weeks.

I’ve used it happily and regularly since then, with no problems… until today.

Back to the same issue. The resistance is dropping so I end up spinny spinning up hills or on the start line of a race :face_with_spiral_eyes: and not going anywhere. I have to stop the ride completely because it doesn’t correct itself without closing the app and starting again.

I’m pairing with an iPad via Bluetooth, plus a HR monitor. Never changed my setup in two years.

Wattbike firmware is all up to date and the issues don’t occur when using the wattbike hub app - only on Zwift. I feel like this is something to do with the latest Zwift app update.

Anyone having the same issues or have found a solution?

Thank you.

Sorry Sophie, I know this doesn’t help you much, but I have a gen 1 Wattbike and I’ve never had this problem.
