Wahoo Kickr Core: not receiving power

I’m having some issues with my Wahoo Kickr Core V1 which I purchased second hand, but brand new in box. Has been sat in the box for a few years unused.

After setting it up, the trainer does not power on correctly. When I plug in the power supply, the trainer lights briefly flash and then immediately turn off. The power adapter itself shows a green light when connected to the wall, but this light goes out as soon as it is plugged into the trainer. When I unplug the power supply, the green light comes back on after about 30 seconds.

I’m not sure if it’s just a faulty power supply, or more worryingly an issue with the trainer itself. Has anyone else had the same problem and managed to solve it? Thanks!

You should of course contact Wahoo support even though it’s out of warranty. Find out what they are willing to do for you - sometimes they do a lot.

A power brick can be easily sourced from Amazon, or if you know anyone in the area with a Kickr Core, borrow it.

Also I have occasionally heard of problems when plugging it into a power strip so I’d test it direct to the outlet or different outlet.
